I thought eggs were supposed to be cheaper.

Jealous ... :auiqs.jpg:

None of us grow cabbage because I am about the only one who would use a decent amount of it ...
And it stays pretty warm here long enough that I wouldn't plant it until as late as mid-November at times.

By that time the Holidays are already close at hand ...
It's hunting season and I harvest a little meat for the freezer ... Yadda-yadda-yadda.
Anyway ... The cabbage doesn't get planted

.
.

I'm looking for a good way to can cabbage, because I always plant too much.

Oh so being a manipulative liar vs pathological liar makes him the proper adult in the room?

NOPE, he is a shameless, morally and intellectually bankrupt piece of crap that doesn’t belong anywhere near that office.
You got kids? Can you remember being a kid? If you don't go to sleep, Santa won't come.

Well, that piece of crap seems to be doing better than you. Rather than being jealous, smarten yourself up and do something useful in your life. You will find those that have achieved nothing in life often belittle success.

Again, heed your own advice, "adult in the room". Your last paragraph is childish. You're just one of those Lefties screaming in the driver's seat on Tik Tok shouting, "Why why why".

If we get chickens it's from the Amish store. They're $13 but drug free. Make great homemade soups. Avoiding chemicals is necessary for health.
I miss last month . Walmart had Market Fresh eggs , 2 18 packs for $4.00. that's right 36 eggs. Too bad they don't keep well.

He has zero plan to bringing down anything and his election tariff promises obviously add up to more inflation acc. to just about all economists.
To my knowledge, because I live some umpteen thousand miles away, Trump wants the USA to be energy efficient by "drill baby drill". In doing so, bringing energy costs down for consumers and producers will lower product and service costs, the cost of living. He also wants a fairer trade balance sheet between the countries the USA import and export to. That way he can lower the tax burden on Americans.

Now if you think you're expecting results overnight, you're gonna be disappointed. So hang onto your nappy/diaper and be patient.

You can freeze eggs, something I've not done but apparently it's something you could do -

There doesn't seem to be a surplus, so we're just keeping up with increasing demand. I'm happy if gas falls below $3/gallon. Nationally it's $3.20, here $2.90. I'm happy. :)
The president has very little to do with the price of gas. Trump has made a big deal out of increasing production, but industry spokesmen have made it clear that oil companies have little desire to increase production.

For future use, water glassing is a way to store eggs. They're not always just like the fresh eggs when you use them, but they're fine for stuff like omelets and baking.

Trump was the one who said he would fix it on day one...

What people are showing, it is a clear lie...

Now MAGA are scrambling to cover it... The problem with this, it simply shows that MAGA will believe lies from Trump... It is an abusive relationship....
You’re unpersuasive and dull minded.

Bird flu caused the shortage.
That’s not proof, dummy.
I have no doubt that bird flu caused some of the price increases. So does elevated fuel prices. Many things contribute, and progress on one front is still progress. Think.

Transportation costs are always included in the cost of doing business if the product requires transportation. The products needed to produce, process, and package eggs need to be transported as well as the eggs themselves.
Of course transportation is an expense. It's not the cause of the egg shortage. That would be the bird flu.

Tariffs do inflate prices, and on foreign goods ... That's the purpose nitwit ...

If President Trump's Administration uses tariffs properly, it can create better market conditions.
With fairer trade conditions ... Combined with corporate tax cuts ...
You can encourage American manufactures to stay here ... And encourage foreign manufactures to invest in producing here ...
Providing jobs and supporting our economy.

If managed properly ... And as trade practices and market conditions improve ... You can start dropping tariffs.
Eventually we can get back to zero tariffs ... And they are just the 'stick' you use to encourage the results you want.

Instead of just spouting the hand wringing, pearl clutching nonsense those in the media want you to believe ...
Try to actually understand economics ... And stop chasing the ball folks throw like a dog ...
Just because you don't really know enough that you can get hoodwinked, unable to tell the difference between real economics ...
And people just trying to sell you more political propaganda on their assumed credentials and intentions.

In any case ... The plan is to do something ...
Instead of nothing and expecting the market conditions and trade practices to magically improve.
That's what the previous Administrations have done ... And it hasn't worked.

Nice goal post move. The thread is about prices, not why there’s a shortage. Think.

Non chicken farm massed produced eggs last slot less than non massed produced eggs. We don't eat eggs much and won't buy them in a store.

Who was that? An old school dude from here was talking about how a lot of petroleum infrastructure is ready to go, was
largely built during Trump's last term and mothballed yet not abandoned during the Biden years.
SoftBank among others
