I thought eggs were supposed to be cheaper.

You are aware we are now producing more oil and gas than anyone else has ever produced in the history of the world?
There doesn't seem to be a surplus, so we're just keeping up with increasing demand. I'm happy if gas falls below $3/gallon. Nationally it's $3.20, here $2.90. I'm happy. :)

Do you ever get the feeling, from remarks like Bulldog just made that they are completely out of touch with reality?
That would be Orangecat is attempting to downplay the substantial rise in the cost of eggs on anything but the bird flu. Transportation costs may have increased a little bit not that much. Face reality. Bird flu caused it. 138.7 million culled so far. Hard to stop wild birds from spreading it.

More MAGA alternate reality, right?

Why do you like being so dishonest?

No offense or anything but that's like asking why bears like honey.

Trump was the one who said he would fix it on day one...

Has anybody noticed that not one of these lefties who claim this haven't provided one video or article of President Trump actually saying this?

He signed his bills on day 1.

And YOU know, just like the rest of us, nothing is immediate.

Stop projecting your ignorance for the world to see.

There was a time (last week even) where these same people didn't want to admit that inflation existed.

The price of eggs is influenced by disease among chickens, not inflation.

Finally somebody states the obvious.

Transportation costs didn't cause the price of eggs to increase, and it won't significantly decrease the price.
Transportation costs are always included in the cost of doing business if the product requires transportation. The products needed to produce, process, and package eggs need to be transported as well as the eggs themselves.

That would be a reasonable goal if demand doesn't keep increasing worldwide. Unfortunately I don't see that changing. And oil is traded on the international market. The new normal ( not for long ) will probably be around $3.00 a gallon. Only to rise even higher in a year or two.

Of course. But that's not what caused the huge increase in the price of eggs. Culling 137.8 million laying hens did it. It takes time to build back up those flocks and what's the hurry if you're an egg producer getting that much for eggs.

So, you're going to blame the hyper-inflation soaring costs of EVERYTHING on "Bird flu" as well? eggs are not the only thing going nuts price wise.

Bird flu may also influence the price of eggs (somewhat). But it hardly influenced the price of everything, and everything soared in price under Democrats. Also, I can't speak for everyone else but I have no evidence exactly how much bird flu may or may not have actually had on the price of eggs. I flat out do not trust the media. Period.

It's so sad to see you Lefties totally double down on your insistence that your policies have nothing to do with the chaos and market problems.

You’re getting lost in the weeds here, son. Trump claims that bringing down the cost of fuel will bring down the prices of things that need said fuel to be transported. That makes sense to anyone who has a logical mind.

Are you insane ? Seriously , the bird flu is only responsible for the majority of the price increase in eggs.. That being said. , the world-wide Post COVID crisis is responsible for the increases in everything else. Trump seized upon the price increase and wrongly blamed Biden for it. He got fools like you to believe it. America has a lot of fools unfortunately. Maybe they're just uninformed or misinformed. Either way it isn't good. We're on very shaky ground now.

Who prepares your meals?
I know it might be out of fashion but I produce and buy my own food. I cook. I believe the last time I ate out or took take out was last month when I went to my 6 months checkup with the doctor. It was a treat . I do it every 6 months.

Chicks typically hatch from eggs after 21 days of incubation, and depending on the breed, can be market ready within around 56 days (approximately 8 weeks) after hatching.

Key points about chick hatching and market readiness:
  • Incubation period: The standard incubation time for chicken eggs is 21 days.

  • Hatching process: Chicks usually start to "pip" (break through the shell) around day 20 and fully hatch within a day or two.

  • Market readiness: Broiler chickens, which are raised specifically for meat, can be ready for market in around 8 weeks, while egg-laying breeds may take slightly longer.

Who prepares your meals?
My wife and I. We grow our own veggies, the beef we get is from a small farm, humanely treated not full of chemicals guy and his wife. (It's alot pricier but worth it). At our ages we eat 2 meals per day. We also do not drink city water because it's not trustworthy. There are many things gs a person can do to watch over their health. We do buy some goods from an Amish store as well. It's good stuff.
