Do you even know any of the actual statistics?? Like only about 4% of the population of the US is infected, and 7% of those tested out of over 202 million tests. Unless you are about 70 or older this is about like getting a bad cold or the flu. US mortality rate is 1.9% which is waaay down from earlier months, critical case rate is at .46%....so less than half a percent of the 5,751,105 active cases are even critical. You libbers are nuts.

What's interesting to me is that the media throws around terms like 'infected' and 'COVID cases' with reckless abandon without informing folks what those terms really mean. Testing positive does not mean one has an active 'case' of COVID or is actively infected and sick with COVID.

New case data is reported based on positive results of molecular tests, not serology.

In spite of millions of U.S. students attending in-person classes, nowhere in America are school-aged students suffering in any significant way from the Wuhan virus. And don't tell me about "cases." As I've long noted when it comes to the Wuhan virus, cases without context are meaningless. ​

As of early October, in spite of nearly seventy thousand reported Wuhan virus "cases" across 50 U.S. colleges and universities, there were only three hospitalizations and zero deaths! I don't see it that way, I think most all the new cases now are few symptoms or asymptomatic altogether. Some areas may have more hospital visitors than usual but I think most of them actually recover at home. Daily deaths to incoming case rate percentages are small and will continue to drive the mortality rate down. And of course cases will continue to rise there are 2 million tests a day being done now.

• Throughout all of 2020, since Covid hit, the US never exceeded 60k hospitalizations on any given day, until November 10th.
• Patients in hospitals for other reasons are counted as Covid hospitalizations if they test positive

The more contagious the epidemic, the easier it is to contrain.
That is because a more contagious epidemic is too greedy, and uses up all the victims it could use to support it, right away.
Then in 12 days when it has to find a new host or die, it can't find anyone new, because it already used them all up.
That is what happened with Ebola.
That is what is the mechanism for herd immunity, that ends all epidemics.
The ones that stay around longer, are the ones that are harder to contract, and less lethal.
Local burn out is what ends all epidemics naturally.

A lot of what you say is incorrect. Ebola does use up its victims, but note that it spreads rapidly and infects and then kills thousands and thousands, at least in Africa, where they have a lot of unsanitary behaviors. They have a vaccine for it now, which helped stop the last two outbreaks. There will be plenty more Ebola outbreaks. If not stopped, Ebola will get into the big cities with bad sanitation, such as Lagos and Calcutta, and kill millions. This is normal for plague also -- the turn of the century Third Plague Epidemic late 1800s/early 1900s killed millions in China and India but was little noticed in the West, which had cleaned up by then. Plague did not "burn out." Not for some 40 years, anyway. Chinese illegals brought it to San Francisco in 1903, big epidemic, panic, and then it got into the ground squirrels and is still in California and Arizona, where some half-dozen people catch it every year. Antibiotics gets rid of it -- Southwestern hospitals watch for it.

I can't see why you are saying this is how to end the current pandemic, since most people don't die of COVID: most people do not even know they have it, we are reading! High contagion/low mortality diseases like this one may hang around and become endemic childhood diseases: THIS is how so many epidemics change, unlike what you are saying. A vaccine may stop it and even destroy it.

You are saying they burn out and are gone, but I'm trying to think what diseases you are talking about --- I can only think of one in non-ancient times, the English Sweat of 1485 to late 1500s --- what was that, anyway? Nothing anything like it ever since, but it sure killed a lot of English people. Otherwise, they are all still around: mostly in China and Africa, sometimes in South America. Cholera, yellow fever, typhoid, malaria, etc., etc. I don't know where you get this idea that diseases disappear on their own. Mostly they hang around recurring forever, unless we can stop them with a vaccine or by killing their vectors.
