I Seriously Don't Know What to Do Anymore In Regards to Politics

Oh gosh, don't say that. I mean, I'm assuming you're being sarcastic, but just in case anyone thinks otherwise...it's not about being on the fence.
RR said she was on the fence, and I'm constantly accused of being a fence sitter because I won't choose a side. I'm just not ashamed of that. The opposite actually. When the two sides are this bad, I'm happy to be on that fence.
For me it's about not participating in what I firmly believe is one big sham.
I think that's what they're referring to when they say I'm on the fence.

Yes I know I took another long hiatus and until Wednesday and I was thinking of resuming my time on this message board completely destroying the left but now since the assassination of Charlie Kirk I'm currently having second thoughts as left versus right is exactly what brought us into this mess in the first place. Along with the fact that I've noticed that I've become more Christlike since my time away from here as no fiery heated arguments to have to worry about. I seriously don't know what The United States of America has become where we can't just simply agree to disagree without tearing each other apart and especially not ending a person's life simply just because they don't agree with you.

Why can't we all just be like Charlie Kirk on here and actually have discussions/debates while at the same time act civilly towards one another? I'm still thinking of coming back as I'm just on the fence right now. As I obviously still am a MAJOR Trump supporter but politics has become WAY too much of a heated war even if it's an online one and I was just starting to get sick and tired of it all.
He made a very insightful quote when he said, essentially "once we stop talking that's when violence occurs".

It's true. Sadly, some filthy animal had no interest in talking and he chose to silence those who do.

I'm still a strong conservative but I feel like now is time to unite this country and stop the fighting as a man just lost his life for voicing his opinion... it NEEDS TO STOP!!!

Wrong, we should be angry.

The question is, how to handle the evil that is overtaking the country?

Sham?

Do you realize that all three branches have almost been assassinated by Leftists?

Hmm?

Trump, Kavanaugh, and the entire GOP Congress were almost assassinated.

But for me, I have always had trouble understanding how the Left thinks Marxism is cool, like how BLM proudly proclaimed that they were Marists. Do they not even know Marx was an ardent racist? Do they not even know that Marxism has murdered hundreds of millions more people than any other ideology in human history?

Why can they wear Che T shirts proudly, a man who was Castro's right hand man assassin?

America has a problem, and it needs to be dealt with or we wind up worse than Nazi Germany.

I don't want to take her thread in a different direction, but I think you and I have a very different view in regard to what's going on in our country overall. I don't think RoadRunner agrees with me on this either, but as I've mentioned many times before, what I'm saying is a "sham" is the 2-party system and the entire left/right paradigm. The people behind the scenes with the real power (you can call it "deep state", I prefer the phrase "powers-that-shouldn't-be") control both sides. They WANT division. They WANT us focusing only on the other side, and continually fighting the other side, because it keeps the attention off of them, the ones pulling the strings on both sides. And again, because ultimately it's about Divide and Conquer.

I agree with you that we should be angry at evil. But the true evil, the bigger evil...the ones who don't care about either side and are working to destroy this country, using both wings of the same bird to do just that. I don't want to hate some misguided lefty who I believe is just brainwashed. From a Christian perspective, we are supposed to pray for our enemies and be a light (lead by example) not be hateful and angry. As the bible says, "for we wrestle not against flesh and blood..."

It really seems that party and the media keeps stoking the embers to keep us divided.

Yeah and that's exactly what Charlie Kirk stood against and I want to live my life for Christ the way that he did and be able to show compassion towards everybody even if they disagree with you. I recently found this song and I love its message. We don't fight fire with fire and stone with stone if we want true peace in our nation. This song is the righteous anger that I was speaking of.

Nice to see you again, April. Long time. You're spot on. It is unfortunate that Charlie Kirk had to pay the price for the left's insane attempts to dismantle the nation.

Charlie Kirk said this: "...any young person that goes into this hyper online brain rot, you are serving yourself over to your own demise."

I've had as my signature this passage from George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four for a number of months now:

The horrible thing about the Two Minutes Hate was not that one was obliged to act a part, but that it was impossible to avoid joining in. Within thirty seconds any pretense was always unnecessary. A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one's will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic…

Orwell only conceived of "two-minute hate."

Since his era, we have 24 hours of television, social media, podcasts, etc.... just overall echo chambers drumming up hate, division, and violence.

Anyhoo, that said...
T'is good to see you again, April.

It's good to see you as well but maybe this message board will learn from this that the constant fighting and tearing each other apart isn't getting us anywhere. Both sides have to agree just to disagree but what's wrong with that?

Again, there is a fine line between being angry at the radical left and stooping to their level.
See, I agree with your OP.

But then you said this.

I am an angstrom short of hating the left myself.

But you've now attacked them. That's not going to win anything.

I challenged Mac1958 to stop lecturing and trying to force people to see things his way. He's not accepting. He's on there calling everyone names......

Nobody takes him seriously.

Because one side only wants death for the other side.

It's about good vs evil.

Evil is not to be negotiated with.

Where's the lie? I'm not saying that they're all like that, I was just talking about the ones who are. If Jesus went on this message board I really don't think He would have very many kind things to say about it. That is if it's exactly how I left it. Again that's from both sides and these people know who they are as I unfortunately was one of them but not anymore.

Anyways, I'm seriously going to consider coming back as I think that it'll be a real test to see what all I have to offer this message board but in love and truth and righteous anger as I am not the same person I was before. I'm still incredibly angry and upset of what the radical left has done to this country and that Charlie Kirk lost his life for nothing, but I can be angry without cussing anybody out and showing compassion and forgiveness towards the individual that did it because that does NOT mean that I forget about what he did or that he does not need to be held accountable for his actions as I seriously hope that he gets the death penalty and firing squad, but I also seriously hope and pray that he repents for his heinous sin and turns to Christ.

I don't know why anyone is surprised, the dems have been rolling like that for a while now....The only difference now is some are being held to account for the words that come out of their mouth and that has shocked them to their very core.

If anything don't let up on them. Don't help them. Live by the feud on them, kick (figuratively) them while they are down, and spit on them when you walk away.....Deserves has everything to do with it.

Don't believe in any phony gods. But I concur with you otherwise.

What good does that do? As anymore that just makes it seem like I'm part of the problem of why our nation is so divided. Again, I'm just as angry and upset that Charlie Kirk was assassinated and now we have people on the left laughing and celebrating about this just as much as you are, but we can be angry without escalating the problem. God said that vengeance will be His not ours.

Take that up with your god or look for your own answers.....I don't have the time for such weakness.
