the UN via The British which controlled the land did in fact give the land to Isreal. And they gave some to the Arabs living there, but those Arans refused to create a Government.
the 5 Arab States that invaded Isreal had no say over the land at all.
As for the Arabs living there, they had been killing Jews for over 6 months before Isreal was formed. With the aid of those 5 Arab States.
