I seem to have forgotten the official story on why we must attack Iran.

LOL Trump manages to keep his followers / tools / fools happy with various nonsense. Stupid people follow blowhards for the blowhard gives them reason to hate their own life while blaming the other.

What a silly op-ed

Trump never painted immigrants as illegal

He painted illegally immigrants as illegal

In fact in his first year back in office, it’s projected that there will be well over 800k new citizens

Which is about the same as the had in 2024, which gets you nothing.

I'm no fan of Israel or American imperialism but if you honestly think either of those things are WORSE than Islamist totalitarianism then I honestly should probably just cut right to the chase and put you on ignore.

I have not the slightest interest in whom you choose to put on ignore .
And I have zero evidence that I shall miss your contributions .

You seem value your own voice and importance much more than I suspect others do .

Is this the official narrative or just your personal interpretation?

Neither, those are just facts. Iran has been a state sponsor of terrorism for decades, and their Islamic government should be crushed.

Or we could just stop ******* about in the Islamic World, and let them work it out for themselves how many Imams can dance on the head of a pin.

It's like we learned nothing from Afghanistan or Iraq. Or Vietnam.

We had no business being in a country right next to Iran to start with.

They took hostages in the 1970s because they were rightfully afraid we were getting ready to launch military action to restore the Shah.

We've been waging low-level economic and military warfare on a country for 45 years for picking a form of government we don't like.

Your view of history is dim and revisionist, were you even alive back then? Jimmy Carter did not plan to invade Iran to reinstate the Shah. During the 1979 revolution and subsequent hostage crisis, Carter’s policy focused on avoiding direct military conflict, prioritizing the safety of the hostages, and eventually allowing the Shah into the U.S. for medical treatment. While under pressure from figures like Henry Kissinger, Carter resisted direct military intervention and sought a diplomatic resolution for the hostages.

Why ?

The US is the planet leader in State Sponsored Terrorism --- see the failed Iran Regime Change as their latest botched effort .

But shouldn't you admire them copying your villainy?

Or , are you scared rigid they will devastate Israel and make the bankrupt US look even more abject and ridiculous?

It's all about perspectives Mr Salt .

You have no clue what the Islamic world is all about. The only thing they are intent on doing is global conquest and creating a unified global entity known as the Caliphate, where Islamic principles dictate all public and private life.

And apparently they have plenty of useful idiots like yourself to help them accomplish that.

Is it still nooklerphobia? Did it shift to bring freedom again? National interests and security? What is the latest line? Thanks in advance.
Why MUST we attack Iran? Netanyahu snapped his fingers and Trump jumped to attention. But seriously ... it's because Iran will have nuclear weapons in a couple of weeks if we don't attack RIGHT THIS MINUTE:

Of course, nobody is at all concerned that Pakistan, Israel, France, North Korea, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and India have them. How is Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea more "stable" than Iran? How about Russia, China, and India? And let's not forget that we've had some pretty insane idiots running the USA who weren't much more "stable" than the leader of Iran is.

I think you are the one who is confused.

I was around back then.

The hostages were taken AFTER Jimmy Carter foolishly let Mohammed Pahlevi into the country for cancer treatment. The hostages were taken because the Iranian students feared this was going to be a repeat of 1954, when the CIA overthrew Mossedeqi and restored the Shah after he had been deposed.

Carter did foolishly try to rescue the hostages militarily, even though he was told that 60% of them would be killed in the action. It turned into a complete clusterfuck where eight service members were killed (and a lot of equipment lost) without encountering a single Iranian. This just made the Iranians more paranoid.

Carter was in full support of the Ayatollah and even called him the Ghandi of Iran. Carter was a total failure. The hostages were released the day after Reagan was elected.

You mean after Geo. Bush cut a secret deal with them? (Okay, that was just a conspiracy theory, but it did look suspicious, didn't it?)

Carter was constrained by political realities.

When he re-instituted draft registration, everyone threw a fit. It had only been five years since Saigon Fell. No one was keen to go to war with Iran in 1980, not even Reagan.

Carter was incompetent. Trump has solved the Iran problem
