Unfortunately, wild pigs aren't a source of bacon. They are very lean.

I'd say about 20-25 yards. It's pretty easy to sneak up on them.

I use iron sights on the Henry. I have used my 30-06 with optics but I changed to the Henry and iron sights because of the close ranges. I also switched to hollow points because the FMJs on the 30-06 went right through a pig and I had to search for her after she ran off. However, the hollow points did the same thing. I was able to drop the big boar in his tracks, nailed him right behind the ear.
