You need to remember, just because they are billionaires, does not mean they are not left-wingers.

Left-wingers are inherently hypocritical. The mantra that "someone else will pay the bill", is just as true for the lower class asking for food stamps, as the middle class asking for medicare for all, and just as true for billionaires who want government run everything.

The same "Other people's money" attitude is universal in all left-wing belief.

One of the most hilarious examples for me, was the left-wing darling Warren Buffet.

If you remember Warren Buffet pledged to give away most of his wealth, and the left-wing was fawning all over him for years.

But I read an article about how Warren Buffet was giving his wealth away, and it was hilarious. This guy used every trick in the book, to avoid paying taxes.

First, when he donated, he donated the stocks in Berkshire Hathaway. Why did he do that? Because if he sold the stock donated the money, he would incur taxes. So instead he just donated the stock itself.

Second, if you know this, for donations to charity, you get a tax deduction. However the amount you can deduct is capped. Warren Buffet donated up to that cap year over year, and stopped. So he never donated a single dollar to charity, that he couldn't deduct from his taxes.

Third, And this is a big one....

Warren Buffet, if you don't know, has a private fortune, and a public fortune. Whenever you look up how Buffet's net worth, you are look at his public worth. The value of the assets that we know about.

Buffet has a private fortune, that by many estimates, is almost as large as his public one. We honestly don't know for sure. It could be even a larger amount than the public one.

So.... Third.... Buffet has always donated to charity from his personal money. Now that he's made this pledge, he stopped donating his private money, while he donates his publicly known money to charity.

In short, while his public fortune declines, as we see it being donated... he private fortune is growing, because he's reduced his private donations to charity, to zero.

Forth... Warren Buffets pledge to donate his wealth to charity, does not include his private fortune. All the wealth he's giving away, is only the wealth we can see, and know about. He's not giving away the wealth we can't see, and thus can't complain about.


So let's recap

He's using the giving away of his public fortune, to avoid all taxes, and to continue growing his private fortune.

Buffet and all the other left-wing wealthy elites, have no problem calling for more taxes and more spending... but they have no intention of paying for it themselves. Not a dime.

Our system does not protect and enrich the extremely wealthy, Comrade G, but rather protects everyone's right to pursue their own best interests and/or live their lives as they see fit. And Bernie doesn't promote policies that help average Americans but rather he promotes big central gov't policies that would enslave us in socialist shackles. Our constitutional rights & protections are intended to allow equal op to succeed (or fail) on merit ... not impose equal outcomes.
