Schumer threatened the Supreme court and that never happened when I was a Democrat. Now, I got out of that trap 48 years ago. They at that time could be disagreeable but Reagan and Tip O Neil got along very well. We now can name a single Democrat who gets along with Trump and that is Fetterman.

48 years ago no one questioned the media which was purported to be mostly objective. Hindsight has revealed that even Cronkite was left leaning.

Decades after that the media had a field day with conservatives calling them Nazi like, racist, robber Barons, etc. and their reportage was never objectively researched.

Rush Limbaugh came along with the largest syndicated radio show that promoted conservatism while revealing just how corrupt the left (Democrats) had become.

I am close to being 90 so can explain past history. When WW2 was going on, not all had good jobs. We had this collection of misfits known as Hobos. They normally would be found close to water, a lake or river, to get water to drink. They would often knock on doors and ask the owner to give them a short job, such as mowing a lawn. Since they offered to work, and did not seem drug ridden at the time, owners often gave them short term jobs since they worked in the war effort and had plenty of money to help hobos with.

We do not currently see a massive war effort like we had in WW2. Then it was clear we were in war, and I mean we saw war planes all the time and convoys of jeeps and tanks. We lived on rations. Today Americans have little clue what rations is.
