I have a feeling I MAY have had a brush with the Chinese Virus......

For about 4-5 hours very early this morning, I suddenly started running a fever and having bad chills. I took some Ibuprofen a couple times, and I believe I may have slept it off. I feel much better now, it's almost 3PM local time. I'm sure it was probably just a quick rush of regular flu, or perhaps something that flared up because I'm diabetic. It was just very strange how it seemed to hit me without warning. One moment I was asleep, I felt kind of a weird "twinge" throughout my body, and I suddenly had teeth-chattering chills. I AM very glad I feel better now.

Are you still running a fever?
Nope, and I feel like I'm back to normal again. I think WHATEVER it was in my system has passed.
Simply eat well and exercise and if you start thinking like a Liberal, take your shotgun, stick it in your mouth and...

.... Found the United States?

That was easy. What'd I win?

This is turning out to be one VERY strange day. In today's mail, I got a letter from the insurance company that provided my dad's life insurance. I already knew me, my sister and brother, and my dad's longtime girlfriend would be getting some kind of monetary award in compensation for my dad's death last August. I was expecting MAYBE 500 to 1,000 dollars. Nope, it's almost $3,800. I didn't really expect anything like this, it turned out to be quite a surprise.

So where are you taking us all for take-out?

Sorry for the loss of your dad....
Thanks again, Pogo. I'll let you and the others know when I'm planning my virtual pizza party. The catch is, only myself, my sister, and maybe my friend, will actually be able to join in on the EATING of said pizza. The others will have to watch via video conferencing.......

You're actually setting up bytes of pizza?

No virtual anchovies please :puke:
You bet! And there WILL be NO anchovies, I promise. Nice Zappa reference, by the way.

I didn't make a Zappa reference, not intentionally. I almost went with a Firesign Theater though.

Symptom #5: Fever
Fever occurs when the set point of body temperature is elevated above normal. It is a common and nonspecific symptom that can be seen in many infections. In food poisoning, the presence of a fever suggests that there is an invasive disease.

When the set point of body temperature increases, the body tries to reach the higher temperature. Chills, which cause a sensation of cold, often accompany a fever. The repeated muscle contractions caused by shivering help increase body temperature as the body continuously tries to produce and conserve more heat. Supportive management of a fever includes the use of an antipyretic, such as paracetamol, acetaminophen, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Stay OFF the Ibuprofen....it's known to make the virus worse.

Because ibuprofen may increase a certain type of receptor on human cells that could theoretically strengthen the ability of coronavirus to cause infection, or worsening symptoms, the World Health Organization initially recommended against its use. However, because there is no evidence that ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatory painkillers and fever reducers, like aspirin, make coronavirus worse, WHO changed their recommendation. They no longer recommend against ibuprofen’s use for coronavirus.

Ask your doctor if ibuprofen or acetaminophen is a better choice for you.

If you were sure you were sick, sweat out bullets and before you could get really sick you were better, that is not normal it is however C19

Ibuprofen kills people every day, it should still be prescription

I have a torn shoulder the surgeon told me to use ibuprofen/naproxamine sodium and after a while my hemorrhoids burst, I almost bled to death. Ibuprofen kills people every single day, not sure why it was put over the counter

Nope food poisoning does not cause fever

This is the story I alluded to earlier....

>> A 4-year-old British girl suffering from coronavirus-like symptoms grew worse after taking ibuprofen, her family said.
As health experts hotly debate whether the anti-inflammatory medicine should be taken to combat the contagion, Dan Collins of Bristol posted a dire warning on Facebook about his stepdaughter Amelia.
“To those of you that have children please read. If your child has symptoms of corona virus, DO NOT give them ibuprofen,” Collins wrote.
“Amelia’s been unwell since Tuesday, cough, fever, cold. This morning she came into my room and got into my bed burning hot and not wanting to get up,” he wrote Sunday.
“Within an hour of giving her [ibuprofen] she dropped dramatically. She was panting while trying to breathe, her heart rate was very rapid, she couldn’t keep her eyes open, couldn’t lift her head up, her body was shaking, she started being sick on herself and her temperature had risen.
“We called back up and they sent out an emergency ambulance, once the paramedics got here they managed to bring her temp and stats down a bit, they’re still higher than normal but not dangerous high anymore,” Collins said.
“Now she’s back on [acetaminophen] she’s back to just being her poorly self. The paramedics only told us while here that were not to give her ibuprofen!” <<

Have you had sexual interactions with a Chinese man recently?

Let me rephrase that.

How many Chinese men have you had sexual interactions with recently?

Well, just the usual, nothing out of the ordinary.
Food poisoning hits fast and hard........makes you wanna pass out.......LOL

Had a bad experience with Burger King once..........Hardly eat there anymore because of it.
I had a couple experiences with McDonald's cheeseburgers. I ran a slight fever, had diarrhea and vomited one of the times. I think I had an experience like this one time after eating food at Taco Bell. Do I still frequent these fine establishments? You bet I do, but not nearly as often as I did, mostly due to developing diabetes.

ONLY a couple. Won Hung Hi and Won Hung Lo, two twin brothers, definitely a Yin and a Yang. Oh, and their cousin, Wat Da Fuk. He's a real character and tells the greatest stories!
