There's a disconnect in your logic, Chilly. Of course Trump wanted a protest at the Capital building! He wanted a protest of what he viewed as a stolen election. That's a given. You make a leap of logic however when you think he wanted a violent attack on the Capital building. Why does he call for a peaceful protest if he wants a violent insurrection? Why does he offer the National Guard if he's looking for anarchy?
The recipe for disaster was the really terrible preparation by whoever was in charge of security at the Capital. They knew there was the potential for violence because the FBI was embedded with groups like the Proud Boys. So who dropped the ball with the security plan? Was it simple incompetence or was it something more than that? Did people in command positions WANT to see an attack on the Capital?

Trump was planning on having a violent mob attack the Capital for weeks before it happened...right? Yet he asked for a peaceful protest and offered the National Guard to bolster security AT the Capital? Does that make sense to you?

Capitol Police Deputy Chief Sean Gallagher emailed top Schumer aide Kelly Fado, now the Senate's deputy sergeant of arms, at about 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2021 saying he wanted to "provide you visibility" to new intelligence that an FBI threat analysis center had received from a website owner, according to documents obtained by Just the News.

The information explicitly warned that demonstrators had detailed maps of the tunnel systems around the Capitol frequented by lawmakers and their staffs and they were plotting to create a "perimeter" for potential violence and to find "Democratic members early to block them from entering the Capitol."
