I guess we'll see.

I just read that one of their first goals will be the elimination of Daylight-Saving Time.
LMAO. WA voters voted to end it five years ago and your democrat legislators refuse to enact it. Too much trouble to enact the will of the people, eh?

Nope, theirs will be an advisory board. It will be up to congress to enact their suggestions that fall outside of the executive branch's ability to issue marching orders to the various agencies.

They could suggest a RIF in a particular agency and Trump could issue orders to make it so but neither they nor Trump can change law.

As for DST.

The Uniform Time Act of 1966 is a law and will have to be changed by congress and signed into law by Trump.

AZ and HI don't change. WA has voted it down. So much for the uniform time act.

I believe changing the time is going to cause it to be sooo dark and dangerous every morning (Nov- March) outside for kids each morning that each state is going to vote to go back to day light savings time.

It's will take every dad and grandad to stand outside in the dark at each bus stop- we would also need parents to board the busses packing heat each morning as it will be too dark for us drivers to see who is getting on those busses.

If Elon Musk changes the time; from November-March it will not get light outside until 8am. Busses run at 6:30-7:30am.
Don't see a problem. Six of one, half a dozen of the other. Dark at the bus stop in the morning if we don't change. Dark at the bus stop in the afternoon if we do. The sun set today at 4:01 and we will be losing minutes of light every day until the solstice, worse on cloudy days. The bus stop argument is a garbage argument. To quote a story I once heard about a native American discussing DST. Only a gov't bureaucrat would remove a foot off of the bottom of a perfectly good blanket and sew it to the top and claim it made the blanket longer.

You may or may not have done the work safely and to code.

Most people would not have and that’s why we have inspectors

Actually I did it better than code, I didn't put in a single 15 AMP outlet circuit and only one or two 15 AMP light circuits. All pressured water lines in the house are copper. All underground water and electrical a buried twice as deep as contractors do. All framing is 2X6 and 2X8 and there's no OSB (oriented strand board), all sheeting is 1/2" plywood. The slab is 8" thick with 12"X24" footers and cross beams, all reinforced with rebar, not wire. Ask any builder to build you a home, get the price, and then give him those specs and see how much the price goes up. The only thing I wish I had at that time, is the new pex pipe that's available today. Of course if you're not familiar with home construction, this is probably greek to you.

.

People who build their own home to live in don't cut corners like contractors & sub contractors do who build cheap multi-family buildings or houses on speculation to sell to an unsuspecting family.

Home buyers, insurance & mortgage companies hire much less expensive private inspectors to insure it's built correctly & up to code.

There is no reason for HOA's, Cities, Counties, etc to force owners who builds their own home to use only their list of approved licensed contractors to get utilities connected or occupancy permit.

This is a major reason people flee the cities & urban sprawl to rural areas, so they can afford to build a decent home. This causes homelessness, less money for schools, police, taxes, etc.

The federal government could ban cities & counties from imposing their approved list of licensed contractors on potential citizens who want to repair, upgrade or build their own home they want to live in.

If they do away with Daylight Savings Time the public will throw roses at their feet everywhere Musk and Ramaswami go
Not sure about roses, but I don't expect them to get much opposition.

Why did Biden add more debt than Trump?
Why did Russia, China & everyone dump US debt when Trump was elected?

Because Trump was exploding debt without paying appropriate interest rate for the increasing inflation / default risk.

They didn't buy more US debt when creepy Joe took office?

Did you ever admit your money supply error? That was pretty stupid, wasn't it?

The idea of Musk and Ramaswami being handed the ability to make drastic changes in how our country works. terrifies me. They are both well accomplished, but not in the disparate areas they will be modifying. However, I just read that one of their first goals will be the elimination of Daylight-Saving Time. That's not a bad idea. It serves no purpose that I know of and is a drastic inconvenience in so many ways. I can support that particular goal. I'm still not comfortable with them being given such a broad mandate, but I expected much more disruption from their first ideas. I guess we will see what happens.

The two dipshits will not achieve a thing. Not one thing.

That is because any ideas they come up with will have to be approved by Congress.

The dynamic duo are a couple clowns in a bouncy house four doors down from where the party is.

The end.

When an administration enters office with a stated goal of, for the first time in America's history, literally bringing down our very institutions, it's certainly fair for reasonable people to be concerned. At best, this would create serious disruptions and losses for millions of Americans. At worst, who knows. It doesn't help matters when that administration represents a swath of the country that essentially operates in an alternative reality.

Did everyone who voted for Trump want this? Of course not. Many are just not paying attention to the political minutiae, and they're used to a sclerotic, do-nothing government. That's understandable, kind of.

So, we just watch. And, assuming that our electoral system and access to voting still exist intact in the next couple of elections, we'll be able to voice our opinions on the results. The one thing we know is, ya never know.

Our institutions have been co-opted already.

A big chunk of which CAME from the Trump Admin

Poor Joe, he was powerless next to Trump. Trump forced him to pile on the spending.
Imagine how much more debt Biden would have added if not for Manchin and Sinema.

It always amuses me when Trumptards expose their bleef that Trump was fiscally responsible.

It takes seven pounds of brain damage for you tards to act as if Republicans and Trump aren't massive over-spenders, too.

So they are all going to keep doing it, and it is your fault.

Trump spent a shit ton.

And Biden spent more.

Nope.

Trump added over $8 trillion to the debt. He did that in half the time it took Obama, and Obama inherited a massive recession he had to dig us out of. Trump had a healthy economy. He was elected on third base and told you rubes he hit a triple.

Biden added $6.2 trillion, and he had Trump's pandemic to dig us out of.

But like I said, you never whine about Trump's spending.

i never heard a single Trumptard whine about Trump's massive over-spending.

So like I said. It's your fault.

Biden had no recession, why did he add more debt than Trump who did?

But like I said, you never whine about Trump's spending.

Waa......Trump spent way too much......Waa......Biden spent even more.

Happy?

Too late, dipshit. You will continue to ignore Trump's forthcoming over-spending.

And that over-spending will be your fault.

"B-b-b-b-but how could I have known!?!?"
