Why would anyone object to the government running more efficiently and cost effective? It's only 2 months into the FY and the VA has a hiring freeze and they don't even have the money to fix copy machines. The clinic I go to has 10 people to answer 400+ phone calls a day, in addition to scheduling appointments and checking VETs in/out for their appointments. Then you have to consider you'll have even fewer people to do all that due to breaks and lunch breaks. If I'm lucky I only set on hold for 40 minutes just to leave a message for my doctors team.

That's just one small real life example of the reality of a commiecrat regime. Are all the agencies like the VA? Probably.

Unfortunately it's not just the left, otherwise special interests wouldn't spend billions a year on lobbying. There are companies like Blackrock and others that have large stakes in the defense industries and in companies that get contracts for rebuilding when the shooting stops. They make out during wars and after the wars end, and the US taxpayer is on the hook for all of it. Blackrock has already had meetings with Zelensky.

I built one of my homes myself, I got a couple of day laborers to help poor the slab. I hired a guy to do my well and septic system, everything else, from the subterranean plumbing to the roof cap, my father and I did. There were no inspections and the house has survived a tornado and a couple of hurricanes with no real damage. The house is almost 30 years old now. There's a lot of bureaucratic BS that can easily and safely be done away with. BTW, I built it to higher standards than most builders use today.

The idea of Musk and Ramaswami being handed the ability to make drastic changes in how our country works. terrifies me. They are both well accomplished, but not in the disparate areas they will be modifying. However, I just read that one of their first goals will be the elimination of Daylight-Saving Time. That's not a bad idea. It serves no purpose that I know of and is a drastic inconvenience in so many ways. I can support that particular goal. I'm still not comfortable with them being given such a broad mandate, but I expected much more disruption from their first ideas. I guess we will see what happens.
