I Don't Understand Why Democrats Keep Calling For Free Speech

I think catch fascist should be included for an arrest considering that it's connected to Tyler Robinson.
In my opinion context is everything. Specific words/phrases are not in themselves 'criminal.'

For instance if we object to something someone did, an expression 'they ought to hang him/her' is most likely just an expression and not an offense.

But to say, 'let's get a rope and hang him' is far more sinister and should be looked at more closely as to intent.

Obviously, the people who come up with this filth don't care about what is done to them in return and that right there is just it. There will be a response of some form. My only question is how much longer until there is finally peace in this country because no one will be willing to deal with the repercussions when anything at all is said bad or well-intended?

God bless you and the Kirk family always!!!

I see what you're saying but I would find that phrase to be extremely alarming and threatening right now and highly suspicious.

A lot of you keep asking me this question. Even some of you being Republicans. Well this is why. Tell me honestly, do you think that any of these people should be allowed to walk free in society?

Second wave of threatening Charlie Kirk flyers found at Georgetown | Fox News Georgetown acts quickly after disturbing flyers reemerge on campus mocking Charlie Kirk: 'Rest in p-ss'
Yeah they should, because any law passed will only be used against us. Best we let these fools identify themselves and fire them.

I understand. But again, so far as actionable offenses, it is always a matter of context. No words in and of themselves are disallowable as free speech. It is the context in which they are used.

Considering the context in this situation I think that it's something to worry about.

Half of you dumb ***** don't even knows what free speech entails, much less it's limits.

Some of you leftists have your head so far up your ass through conditioning you have to open your mouth to see.

Here's what it doesn't cover and I'd look at the ones in bold real fuckin' hard:

Limits on free speech in the United States:

  • Obscenity (as determined by the Miller test)
  • Fraud
  • Child pornography
  • Speech integral to illegal conduct
  • Speech that incites imminent lawless action
  • Regulation of commercial speech such as advertising
  • Protection from imminent or potential violence against particular persons
  • Restrictions on the use of untruths to harm others (slander and libel)
  • Communications while a person is in prison
  • Violations of intellectual property law
  • True threats
  • False statements of fact
  • Employers can set standards for speech in the workplace.

If you read my article in the OP it isn't just about saying horrible and disrespectful things. These are violent dangerous people who are writing catch fascist on their flyers. They're terrorists.
Threats of any kind aren’t the same as vile commentary.

And even the making of “threats” does not always equate with “terrorism.”

That said, I believe you are, generally, correct in making a distinction between threats and other offensive speech.

I'm pretty sure that this would both be considered illegal as it incites lawless action but I accidentally erased your points.

Then why stand up for Floyd? The guy was a piece of shit sorry as human being but yet, your side worship him at the altar.
There was no worship, he just shouldn't have died that way.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Kirky and George Floyd share the same birthday?
