I don't think this needs much explanation. It's self-explanatory for those paying attention.

In recognition of the predicted effect of indiscriminately rounding up people who are in the country illegally, this happened.

Trump Tells Farmers ‘Changes Are Coming’ to Immigration Crackdown

President Trump acknowledged on Thursday that his immigration policies are hurting the farming and hotel industries, making a rare concession that his crackdown is having ripple effects on the American work force.

Mr. Trump, who has made mass deportation a centerpiece of his presidency, said on social media that “changes are coming.” And while there was no sign of any significant modification to his policies, Mr. Trump’s statements suggested the scale of his crackdown may be alienating industries he wants to keep in his corner.

It would seem some businesses are being hurt by the ICE roundup. Who would have guessed?

Devastating Costs to America, Its Budget and Economy

What's a vindictive prez to do to keep the deportation numbers up, and punish cities holding "No Kings" protests.

Trump immigration policies targeting Democratic cities energize organizers, leave others confused

In recent days Trump has vowed to shift immigration enforcement away from political allies and toward political foes, prioritizing deportations in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and cities at “the core of the Democrat Power Center.” At the same time, he’s reversed course and paused arrests in industries that heavily rely on a foreign-born workforce.

Trump Uses False Voting Claims to Target ‘Democrat Power Center’

Making false claims about illegal voting by noncitizens, President Donald Trump ordered Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to target the “core of the Democrat Power Center.”

In a post on Truth Social Sunday evening, Trump told ICE to target “America’s largest cities,” and specifically called out Los Angeles, Chicago and New York, all of which are predominantly led by elected Democrats.

“These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities,” the president claimed.

The order represents the latest effort by Trump — and perhaps the most dangerous yet — to wield the massive power of the federal government to punish and weaken his political opponents.

Retribution against perceived enemies, rewarded allies. What a fitting epithet for his gravestone.
Leftwing nonsense. WHO writes that garbage? Some teenager?

He certainly has an outsized influence on immigration policy. Which is concerning since he's a xenophobic racist.

You don't have to be so nice when defining him.

So, you support Trump now?

I do not think that you have the mental acumen to do this, but -

When you see trigger words in a Wiki that are designed to tell you what to think -
you should probably not think that.
We get it. You’re a racist bigot and you love that Miller is as well

Undocumented workers are an easy target. Criminals, whether undocumented or not, are much more costly in every way to apprehend. The law biding undocumented workers were set up, as were the Maga-Nut voters. The lies the Republican propaganda machine churned out before the election convinced them that the new Trumpybear regime was mostly going after violent criminals and gang members, not the Dreamers, or the long time hard working residence.

Haha, the "No Longer Party of Reagan" fooled them once again.

Obama had the correct approach. Targeting criminals and immigrants who had recently crossed the border illegally for deportation. Not productive people with deep roots in the US.

I've seen that false narrative quite a lot lately. I think it's fair to say people who voted for the Bigot-in-Chief supported a more strict immigration policy and the vague concept of a more secure border. But.......

A Pew Research Center poll earlier this year showed that Americans opposed deporting people “who have a job,” 56% to 41%. They also strongly opposed deporting people who came here as children (68-30%), the parents of US citizen children (60-37%), and undocumented immigrants who married citizens (78-20%).

A March Marquette Law School poll was similar. While 68% broadly favored deportations, that number dropped to 41% for people who have been here for years, have jobs and have no criminal record.

And a February Washington Post/Ipsos poll showed Americans opposed deporting people who haven’t broken non-immigration laws (57-39%), those who arrived as children (70-26%) and those who have been here for more than 10 years (67-30%).

Don certainly has succeeded in getting you to view the guy down the street who came here illegally, has been here for 20 years, holds a job, and has kids in school who are US citizens as "bastards." The power of propaganda is not lost on the regime.
Good corroboration of the fact that polls can be made to show pretty much anything the sponsor wants to show.

I love, love, love Stephen Miller. We need many more like him. Tells it like it is. A master of the constitution as well.

I agree with that. The problem is rooted in Congress, imho. They refuse to pass real reform. The last time it was tried was with GWB. That effort, even though it had broad support at first, is when the Limbaugh coalition started flexing their political muscles by bulling enough GOP members to scuttle the deal. That was the first time I remember hearing that vitriolic, and highly derisive, one sided political rhetoric make it's way into the national political arena.

Polls tend to be more granular in defining what specific policies people are for or against. If the data doesn't align with your beliefs I can't help that.

so the meaning is, Trump listens to the public. That's not king like is it?

The last time it was tried was with GWB.
The last time it was tried was in 2013 when the Senate passed an immigration reform bill with bipartisan support. Boehner killed it by refusing to bring it to the floor of the House for a vote.
