Worst case a year from now: about 2 million of Americans are dead and we are in the midst of a depression.

Not likely since we have less than 400 dead now, and have many new developments with medication, vaccines, and information.

Realistic case: Thousands of Americans will be dead in the next few months but the disease will have been contained through effective social distancing and protocol.

Social distancing will only do so much as younger people will be less likely to practice it. Thousands may be possible, as the flu killed over 80,000 in 2017, and killed over 16,000 this season alone. Remember too that a lot of Americans get the flu shot every year.

Best case: The disease mutates and dies out on its own sooner rather than later which obviously can’t be predicted. It’s just possible it could happen.

A sigh of relief won't happen until we get an FDA approved vaccine which is likely to be by the end of the year, or early next year. But if all this hype settles down enough for people to get back to work, the market shooting back up, and the economy heading towards where we left off, the bigger question is how will the left spin it so Trump doesn't get any credit?

A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that 87 percent of the deaths in Italy attributed to the coronavirus and 40 percent of known infections have been people 70 years of age or older.
