Hypocrite Hillary Clinton Paid Women Staffers 28% Less Than Men

So, that makers her a good capitalist. What's your problem, you don't believe in equality anyway.

You are good at repeating lame talking points and are dead wrong. I believe in equality. People with equal qualifications deserve equal pay.

Hillary isn't practicing capitalism. That has nothing to do with it. She wasn't creating wealth while in Washington. She was merely dipping into the tax payer money and she opted to dole it out in a way that slighted the women on her staff. That just makes her a hypocrite. What she says does not match her actions.
Does the Secretary of State actually determine what the people working for the State Department make? Does he or she sit down with all of their employees and negotiate their salaries with them one on one?

Read again. It was her personally picked Senate staff. You're so busy trying to defend the Hildabeast you don't even read the byline.
Does the Secretary of State sit down and negotiate salaries with Staffers one on one? Are all Staff positions the same? Do all Staffers have the same job and work load and duties?

Yeah: them wimmen is wurth all of 72c in the $$$............Bill said so!!!

Greg

She spent less government money and you're mad? What happened to personal responsibility? Weren't these slits supposed to ask for more cash? If she can get them cheap why should she pay more? You'd better make up your mind what you believe in little partisan. Are people responsible for getting their own paychecks or not?

Always playing games instead of admitting that Hillary is nothing but a hypocrite. She could have paid the men 28% less and then it would have saved money and ensured equal pay for men and women. But she didn't do that.

The issue at hand is equal pay for men and women. Hillary has done plenty of harping on the subject, but turns out she is guilty of treating them unequal.

HYPOCRITE!

I know what I believe.

People can ask for raises, but Hillary was more generous with men than women from the start. If you are qualified for a job and don't like what is being offered, go someplace else. Not all jobs are offered by hypocrites.

You're trying to attack me despite me never having said anything like what you are insinuating. You are just too chicken shit to slam Hillary so you deflect.
She paid the rates required to get them to work for her. When did it become her job to make life fair?
If she was aware of the women being paid less than the men for the SAME WORK then yes, she would be a part of the problem imho. And yes, men are more experienced (through osmosis if not directly) in negotiating salaries....and I honestly believe there should be a course in salary negotiation in high school and in college for women specifically....so we can get better at it!!! :)

Er: you are making my point; which is why Hillary is stupid!! She must set the standard; not go along with the old excuses.

Greg

Funny you don't take that tone when it's Republicans you're criticizing. Then everyone is supposed to be equal even if they don't have experience or a high school diploma. Are you saying keep the current minimum wage, or maybe lower it for some real losers?
Raise it. We need better cash flow at the bottom. And while the goal is equal pay for equal work the salary you demand is up to you, just like these women.

It amazes me that liberals claim the high ground in wage equality except when it's other liberals paying!!

Greg

So making everyone equal is what you think is required? Good to know.

Who said make everyone equal? That is a leftie thing and it's impossible. People should be treated fairly and equally as human beings, but when you hire them you should have one pay scale based solely on ability and not gender or race.

Equal pay for equal ability is fair.

The left is quick to judge a company if they don't hire enough minorities or women and they seek to pretend everyone is equal when it comes to employment. That is trying to falsely elevate people. Why isn't Hillary in trouble for not following the liberal rules that companies are expected to follow?

Hillary is a liberal and she criticizes others for doing what she is doing. That makes her a hypocrite and you continue to twist words to avoid giving an opinion on Hillary.

Do you think Hillary is wrong and are you willing to address that? Or will you just play more childish games and try to take shots at the right?
Is it the Senator who determines what staffers get paid? Do you know the answer to this question?

Yes....The Senator picks their staff and determines salary. Each Senate is allotted a budget for staffing. All staff is paid out of that budget.
Ok, that makes sense to be given a budget...

but if a Senator chose to have a staff of 10 instead a staff of 30 and pay these 10 employees the entire budget,(3 times the amount that a normal staffer would make) can the Senator do such with the budget money or would that be a "no no"? Is there a government CAP on what staffers can make?

And are all staffer positions EQUAL WORK or are some staff positions more important than other staff positions?

My question is, does this bombshell of a Report, tell us whether she had 50% men working for her or just 1 man on her staff and that one man held the highest staff position, vs all the rest of the workers who were female and held lower positions?

How can we compare EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK if we don't know what positions the males verses females held?

Certainly ALL staff positions ARE NOT the same?

So you don't know but you defend it anyway. Ever heard of Google??

Greg

Imagine a young woman who seeks to become an intern at Hillary's White House, thinking she can get next to Bill, the way Monica did, only to have Hillary approach her in the ladies room and tell her she wants to lick her lips.

Is she testing for Bill?

Hillary Clinton has long positioned herself as a champion of equal pay for women. Ironically, new reports show that the former Secretary of State is, herself, part of the problem.

During her time in the U.S. Senate, Clinton paid women in her office 72 cents for each dollar paid to men, according to a report by Washington Free Beacon.

Analyzing data obtained from official Senate expenditure reports, Free Beacon concluded that the median annual salary for female staffers was $15,708.38 less than the median salary for men, between 2002 to 2008.

That’s about a 28 percent gender wage gap:

Unless you prove that women were paid less than men when they held the same jobs,

your thread is shit.

I have heard that argument before and indeed agree with the "equal pay for equal work" idea. However, as it is the only piece of info that is put out there by Hillary indirectly then the onus is on Hillary to come up with a breakdown of pays. No names of course, but an account of the jobs and pays as per gender. At the least it requires the political savvy to know that this type of numbers is NOT a good look.

The Obama administration did that and the rightwing propaganda machine still lied about it.

I don't think we want the federal government telling businesses "who" should get this or that pay. Maybe that person didn't spend 30 years of their life for that company and the other guy has more experience? So we're going to start limiting businesses?

CORRECTION: Does a SENATOR sit down and negotiate salaries one on one with their staff? And do they all put in equal work for equal pay? Are all staffer jobs equal in work load?

Without knowing whether all staff positions are equal in workload and responsibility, then we cant really know if "hillary" is part of the problem of women being paid less for the same job responsibilities than men.

It is very possible and maybe even likely the women were paid less for the same position than the men were...but I am not sure this blogger or Fox News gave us enough info to determine such?

And do you believe women are being paid less for the same work in the marketplace or do you think this is mere whining from the women about a bunch of nothing?
She could've gave them raises, she is the problem.

Raise it. We need better cash flow at the bottom. And while the goal is equal pay for equal work the salary you demand is up to you, just like these women.

Okay, are you willing to apply that to private companies? You say raise minimum, then turn around and say it's up to employees to demand more. So, does that mean government should stay out of it?

As for Hillary, wouldn't you expect her to offer equal pay for men and women on her staff? She would bitch loudly if a private company did that and you still won't admit she is a hypocrite.

Hillary is all talk. She needs to retire her old ass.
Why do you keep using the term ''equal Pay" and NOT INCLUDE for equal work? EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK....

what is you AGENDA with this?

Without knowing how many men vs women work for her and in what positions they held, the contention that hillary has not given 'equal pay for equal work' with her staff falls flat.

You do realize this don't you? That if we don't know what positions the men vs women held and don't know if they held higher responsibility positions than the female staffer we can't compare equal work for equal pay...and you can't soundly and honestly and based in truth.... take the position that you did in your op...
but, of course, that same premise does not apply to the private sector.

We get it.

If they are at the same experience level and job title....yes that would be hypocritical.

That being said, I've seen some try to compare two jobs that are NOT the same and NOT at the same experience and time in job level....in order to cook the stats. Let's hope that's not what we are seeing here.
