Suspect that in the “progressive” states like California, the police are discouraged from fully investigating and are prevented from making arrests. Fourteen minors were among the nearly 50 victims of human trafficking rescued during a sting across California that netted 339 arrests, law enforcement officials said Tuesday.

Some of the victims found by law enforcement were as young as 13 while other cases involved children as young as 6, Los Angeles County sheriff's officials said during a news conference alongside other authorities. Ninety-three human trafficking task forces and teams from various counties were part of the 3-day operation.

This is the most ignored atrocity and diabolic crime in the USA, imo. Congress, et al. are more freaked out by climate change, spending billions on fighting it : 0 and do so little about human suffering of this kind. I am guessing not near enough resources or attention is given to human trafficking, gang violence, and domestic violence. I think it's a disgrace.
