How will Trump deal with the Venezuelan Guerrilla forces that control much of the Country and its mineral wealth.

You mean Manduro? He’s in the same NYC jail that housed P Diddy
I was referring to Maria Corina Machado, the Nobel Peace Prize winner who was to lead the political opposition in Venezuela. Why isn’t she rallying her people? Why did Trump sideline her?

We shall see how peaceful it is
Hopefully we will also see how many bribes were paid by the CIA to Venezuelan elites to allow a few dozen US special forces to snatch Maduro and his wife from their bedroom without losing a single kidnapper?

GoogleAI Overview:

"Key details surrounding the operation, dubbed 'Operation Absolute Resolve,' indicate the U.S. relied on secrecy and precise intelligence:
  • "Intelligence Gathering: The CIA had a small, covert team on the ground in Venezuela since August 2025, which included a source within the Venezuelan government who provided detailed, real-time information on Maduro's location and "pattern of life".
  • Surprise Raid: The operation involved a pre-dawn raid by U.S. special operations forces (Delta Force) in Caracas that unfolded in less than half an hour."

Oh she’s in Venezuela. Working with the Trump admin, for a long term solution

Hopefully Edmundo Gonzalez is able to come home as well

I agree with you that I object to my tax dollars being used to pay for the bombs that destroyed Gaza.
The Biden admin gave those thousands of 500# bombs to the IDF, not Trump.
Trump got the 20-point peace plan approved. I don't see Trump as participating in any genocide.
The "peace plan" didn't come about until several months after Trump took office. By the time he acted, Gaza was all move completely destroyed and more than 70,000 people killed (the majority of which were women and kids). Then, after Trump took credit for bringing "peace" to the region, the Israelis continued to bomb Gaza while Trump continued to send them American dollars and weapons.

And what has Trump done to protect the people of the West Bank? Nothing.

In the meantime, more than 30,000 American veterans remain homeless while Israelis enjoy free healthcare and education at American taxpayer's expense. That is NOT an "America First" mentality or ideology.

You really don't know what you are talking about.

María Corina Machado, Venezuelan opposition urge military to back power transfer after Maduro capture

Trump has created a power void with us in the middle

We broke it, we bought it
A dream come true for trump-hating libs

Try not to be too disappointed if trump manages to avoid the trap

You're preaching to the choir. I remember when we gave Israel advanced weapons, and they sold them to China.

How many Gazans were killed under Biden vs under Trump? I'm thinking 95% Biden if not more.

As for homeless veterans, I donate to t2t and other such charities, its not a government responsibility.

You better hope so
If it turns into a shit sandwich, Republicans will pay the price

Not many Americans were saying we need to do something about Venezuela

María Corina Machado, Venezuelan opposition urge military to back power transfer after Maduro capture

President Trump on Saturday said Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado “doesn’t have the support” within Venezuela to be its next leader after U.S. troops captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, and said she was not consulted prior to the operation.

“I think it would be very tough for her to be the leader,” Trump said at a press conference from his Mar-a-Lago resort hours after the attack. “She doesn’t have the support within or the respect within the country.”

The question is why did Trump throw her under the bus?

He didnt. The reality is she stands behind and fully supports the lawful winner of the previous election that Maduro invalidated.

I agree that Machado fully supports the winner of the previous election, what I don’t understand is why Trump undercut her authority by telling the world she is not respected and would not make a good leader. WTF was that about?

I remember after 9-11 that I supported Bush invading Afghanistan to get Bin Laden.
Then, while still in Afghanistan, Bush started with anti-Saddam rhetoric and I thought he was just bluffing.
But Bush decided to invade Iraq because we did not want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.
I remember Cheney saying we would be treated as liberators
I remember Bush’s “Mission Accomplished” speech.

Then things turned to shit in both places

Don’t we ever learn?

Conservatives never learn from history. We are in a perpetual Groundhog Day when the right comes to power.

The thing is….Trump claims he objected to both Afghanistan and Iraq and that Bush made a mistake.

A mistake that he claims he would never make.

Until yesterday
