I was an assistant principal of a suburban high school with students from gated communities and housing projects. We had two school resource officers, security guards and a well-trained staff. The local police, if needed for help, responded usually within minutes. No one was ever seriously hurt on my campus, and I was there for 10 years.

There is violence in private schools and parochial schools also. It is the nature of the beast. Those schools seem less prepared than public schools. Did you consider the school shootings that occurred at the private Christian elementary schools?

Just put your hate away and realize that there are people addressing the problem when and where it occurs. They don't need your criticism.
