How to report a church for electioneering.

Use spell checker. You are worse than me. :)
Nope. Just a lot lot smarter than you.

Churches are not allowed to be political and keep their 501C status.

Here's how to report them:

I found this information on reddit after a bit of digging around and used it a few days ago.

The church down the street has taken down their sign..
Unless said chuch is supporting dems, right?

Would electionerring include inviting candidates to a church potluck and give a speech? It is traditional here in the south.

That would be okay. Most times politicians are smart enough to know where the line is drawn and have no trouble.

I recall video of Trump who was invited to a church in Detroit back in 2016. The church if memory serves me right was honoring some folks that helped Flint in its dilemma with drinking water. When Trump got up to talk to the congregation, he started right in laying into Hillary and was immediately halted. The Johnson rule was explained to him, he was then allowed to proceed. He cleaned up his act, not the politician it was probably his first experience with the rule.

What part of the First Amendment don't you understand?
Seems that we are talking about real property...not religious beliefs.... and the responsibility an owner has to contribute to the governance infrastructure necessary for it to exist in our society.

So, why should religious property owners not meet the responsibility all other property owners perform? Rather than be a restriction on religion ...property tax responsibility allows religions to have the other freedoms the 1st suggests.

Because all the residents, all the members of the various congregations, in their communities, already pay their property tax.

Why should the religious pay twice the property tax as the godless heathens?

And so it is with employees of corporations.
The Corp pays property taxes.
So do the employees. Why the double dip?

The Religions that possess real estate are getting a free ride at taxpayer expense. If their church real estate benefits by good roads, police & fire protection, and other socialized improvements and safeguards.....then the church/mission/mosque etc. needs to pay its fair share. Our Constitution does not proscribe that the religion's dirt should benefit more than "heathen" dirt.

My point is: "Property Ownership"....in and of itself applies a burden upon the owner. Regardless if the owner prays, or profanes.
It is the real estate that is the defining principal. Not reverence or irreverence.

Funny that you support a law that was designed to shut up black Churches during the Civil Rights movement.

The whole "churches can't electioneer" thing is bullshit and unconstitutional anyway.

Public Schools don't pay property tax. And folks that vehemently disagree with the STATE'S ideological agendas and choose to home school? Those folks still have to pay their property taxes for a services they ideologically oppose.

So your arguments are moot.

The STATE and its institutions of ideological subversion, oppresses folks, while also getting a free ride on false rhetorical ideas. Sorry pal.

Your arguments are moot.

Harris blasting Trump in a black church yesterday was pathetic. That church should lose its tax-exemption.
Nope. That's a violation of the first amendment.

It’s is absolutely completely legal for a minister or rabbi or priest to state “vote for the man who ascribes to to the Lord”
Libs extrapolating their feelings and wishes as law Once Again

Agreed. You make an excellent case for abolition corporate or personal property taxes.

Spot on chap. . . wot wot! 🤪

Other non-profits can be exempt from Property taxes, they just have to show certain qualifications.
