It's a good idea but democrats don't have the spine to do any of that.

It's a terrible idea and would end up coming back to bite you liberals in the ass if you attempted it! If you want to make the sweeping changes that you THINK America is ready for...then get the politicians elected to do that! You don't have the votes now and you know it which means a large portion of America wants nothing to do with your agenda! Forcing that change down their throats by having a Vice President usurp the position of Senate Majority Leader is a sleazy move any way you look at it.
