First, one needs to have a spare 40 minutes to watch, and especially if it's something we already know.
Next one should do a better job of filtering which 'media' will be your sources. Few media, MSM, are objective. Most have a bias leaning one way or another. Some require you to pay to 'view', the NY Times example she starts with is one of those.
Third, there is a broad range of news~entertainment systems within the blanket(broad-brush) classification of media.

All the above in consideration, I'll admit that most media are our to manipulate, but if one considers ALL media as "the enemy" and avoid such, how will one learn anything, have a clue regarding news and other essential information ?

Living in isolation isn't a good way for most people.

I watch for words such as Sources claim, how they describe Democrats vs Republicans, Headlines such as the first example she gave. Watching it does not mean all at one time. Nothing wrong with saving it for later.

As I have posted many times, we have very very little that passes for "Media". Over ninety percent of what is called news is politically slanted and often funded by one of the two Parties. Add to that so called "entertainment shows" like The View and late night shows that are clearly mouthpieces for Trump Hate.

I watched and listened to all of her talk and found she dialed it in correctly.
For me to repeat what she says deprives readers of making up their own minds.

She points out the vital parts, how a headline is chosen to tell you the opinion of the editor and not to tell you truth. We all can see that Democrats phrase words as accusations and not to explain what is accurate.

If you watched nothing but CNN, you would be convinced that America is losing the Iran war, and not just losing, but getting our butts handed to us.

I am not rating speakers on looks. She also used the Washington post and the Guardian. When those talk, they are setting you up as they don't give news, they give out opinion as to what the news is.

Notice that our press talks of the leaders of Iran as victims and ignores the story to be told that it is the public in Iran who are victims of the Muslims clerics.

We can blame whatever news or story source we want for manipulation of our views, but the real problem is with 'We The People' that don't bother questioning it or for seeing it for what it is.

Anytime a story includes MAYBE, WOULDA, SHOULDA, COULDA, etc......should alert the audience there is more to it and should be questioned. And of course those 'unnamed sources not wanting to be named because they are close to the matter'..........IOW, either they don't have any source and just making shit up as they go.........OR some jackass is blabbing his mouth knowing they'd get fired for doing so. Since there are so many such story sources......I'd go with the reporter making it up.
