How the American right became aligned with Hungary and its authoritarian leader

US presidents don't rule. They lead. You want an authoritarian, fascist, nationalist ruler?
Tell that to Mac1958 who thinks all evil begins with Donald Trump

But since you mention leading, Mac1958 thinks thats bad too if its trump doing the leading

Who exactly emasculated you?
The side you are on and the side I am supposedly on. Much of it is intermixed. With people having approval of parts of both sides. So, do I say I like the massive violence in the cities and want to be on that side after a financial downturn where resources run low? That is not healthy in a brave new world.

A hero of the Trump right shows his true colors: Whites only

“Thank you, Viktor Orban, for showing us where the American right is heading. The Hungarian strongman, who derailed his country’s nascent democracy, has been a darling of the MAGA crowd for his anti-immigrant policies. He has enjoyed a fawning interview and favorable broadcasts from Budapest by Fox News’s Tucker Carlson, and he has been invited as a featured speaker to next week’s Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas alongside a who’s who of Republican senators, governors and members of Congress, as well as former president Donald Trump himself. Several such luminaries addressed a CPAC gathering in Hungary in May, at which Trump described Orban as “a great leader, a great gentleman.”’

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's administration has rewritten Hungary's constitution to consolidate his power. U.S. conservatives are taking note.

“This kind of like the definition of illiberal democracy. It looks like a democracy from the outside. There's voting. There's courts. There's a parliament. But if you look at the details, one party runs it, one man runs the party, and it's pretty authoritarian.”

Conservatives in the United States have the advantage of advancing their illiberal, anti-democratic agenda by corrupting the mechanics of the American political process where the presidency, control of the Senate, and control of the courts are determined by the states, not the people.

From the outside it looks like a ‘democracy’ – there’s voting, functioning courts, the façade of ‘political opposition’ – but it’s fundamentally the authoritarianism of Republican minority rule.

The trump Nazis have deluded themselves believing their white supremacy will make them a part of the privileged class under the new fascist order.

The ruling class will appreciate the trump Nazis' decades of help in ending the U.S. democracy, but their blind cooperation will no longer be needed. So, the trump Nazis' dream of privilege will dissolve in the reality they have been relegated to peasant status with the minorities they hate. The brown people will have become the white supremacists' equals, as dictated by the new fascist order.
