My guess is he didn’t score well, or else is a former liberal teacher who wants to downplay the value of the SAT because Asians and whites score higher, on average, than blacks. Shhhhhh……You seem to feel threatened by objective tests. Why is that?

Diluted. SMHI said scores are deluted by non-performers.
I was a teacher and test administrator. I have more experience with these tests and I know how they can be used and mostly abused. I have literally given over 10,000 of these exams in my career. You seem to feel threatened by objective tests. Why is that?
Liberal? Hilarious! My guess is he didn’t score well, or else is a former liberal teacher who wants to downplay the value of the SAT because Asians and whites score higher, on average, than blacks. Shhhhhh……
OMG. You still don’t get it. So WHAT if students, as a group, have gotten more ignorant (the fault of liberal control of education), and thus the average score has gone down?I was a teacher and test administrator. I know how students treat these tests and using them for accountability has decreased their effectiveness by the norming process. If anyone would take a course in educational statistics it would be readily apparent how that students dumbing down the average has lowered their reliability.
Thank you!Diluted. SMH
The scores go down because students are forced to take the tests! If I told you that you had to take the LSAT and the MCAT just because I wanted to see how smart you truly are and no matter what, you would never go to law or medical schools and you had no choice in the matter, would you do your best? Probably, but you are not the average high school student.OMG. You still don’t get it. So WHAT if students, as a group, have gotten more ignorant (the fault of liberal control of education), and thus the average score has gone down?
The students who score 1300 and up will be more successful in college than students who can’t even manage 1000. The test is still quite reliable in predicting whom is most likely to succeed academically.
You still don’t get it. And right on cue, you get enraged because I don’t agree with your take and start in with the personal insults. The scores go down because students are forced to take the tests! If there is no incentive, why would you bust your ass for nothing? It is human nature.
That doesn't prove you are ignorant, just lazy! Your personal mileage may vary, but statistics say it doesn't work like that.
I don't know how your score can be the same after over 20 years of growth. Also, why does it matter how long it takes a person to go through the test?
God bless you always!!!

Pulling down the average allows less capable students to appear to do better than average. Why do you not understand that fairly simple concept. Other people on this forum are bashing the tests, not me. I am bashing the practice of using them for accountably in state testing programs. The only reason you think I am enraged is that you don't understand what I am talking about. You still don’t get it. And right on cue, you get enraged because I don’t agree with your take and start in with the personal insults.
To repeat, so WHAT if I take the MCAT and pull down the average? The exam will still enable the most impressive and capable med school applicants to shine via their high test results. It thus serves its purpose: identifying the smartest and most knowledgeable applicants.
Yes, the time it takes to answer the questions correctly was/is part of the scoring on real tests. I'm always surprised at the number of people that don't know that.I'm not sure exactly how it would be the same, yet the facts were clear. I asked my mother about it because she actually asked for the test when I was little. She said she thought it was intially more like 145 or 148 maybe. It makes sense that if I took it again it might have been a little lower. I know for a fact that in the early 2000s it said 142.. As for timing the tests, that is part of the final quotient because it measures processing speed. Processing speed is a legitimate part of that final number.

Actually 145 is genius level. My crystallized memory is still higher than that, but all my other values have dropped down into the 130's the last time I did the IQ battery of tests.Mine is in the top 1% as well. No need for me to get more specific than that.
Also, not to burst your bubble, but neither you nor I is in Einstein’s range (or Jobs or Hawking), all of whom were in the 160 range. That’s considered genius level.
I was afraid someone would say that Qua......~S~Only a real IQ test from a psychologist works
These on line ones are frauds
Hell the on line ones even say I am super smart lol
Cool Story.Just took an IQ test for the hell of it. It wasn't one of the free ones either.

Translation......"Stryder is superior to you, so piss off."Or as we say here out West;
"Couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel."
I wanted to be a doctor a while back. What stopped me was the money factor; it isn't cheap to get that degree... and yes, I can read and understand what medical books say, along with those dealing with law as well.If my IQ was 134 ??
I would be a successful doctor right now
. You could literally read complex medical books and grasp everything and retain the information
. Imagine plowing through hundreds of pages of med books like I would read a comic
Unfortunately I am a dumb azz
