If it was in fact such a wonderful place why did American founding families and immigrants run so fast and sacrifice so much to leave? Why when WW 1 broke out was there still a huge isolationist movement and disdain for European culture and politics in the US, what did they know that we have forgotten?
Was it the humanist movement and belief that man is equal to God, or was it that God is a myth, maybe it was the belief that freedom is derived from government and not the inalienable right bestowed by God?
Europe provides a blue print for failure, corruption, cronyism, and stark results of the aftermath attributed to nanny society. Have we lost that belief, resolve in our ability to face and overcome obstacles without having our hand held by corrupt a manipulative central government?
