Question: What or Who is the Holy Spirit?
View attachment 1152425
The Holy Ghost is the third member of the godhead and unlike the Father and the Son, He does not have a resurrected body of flesh and bones yet. He has remained a spirit being in order to enter our physical bodies at times. However, he will at some future time receive his own resurrected immortal body the same as the Father and the Son have received theirs. One can be filled with the spirit of the Holy Ghost at times in this life and receive revelation.

Keep studying this time, read the king james bible, preferably the Book of Acts, not the Book of Mormon
The Holy Ghost is the third person, I quote A Person as an old-time ghost 90 times KJB and Holy Spirit 77 times

There's the story of the monk who died (might have been St Bernard?) and he appeared to someone after death and told him that when he died about 32,000 people also died (he gives a more exact figure but I just recall the 32k).

Only 1 person went directly to Heaven at death
2 went to Purgatory
and all the rest fell into Hell

True story (documented)

The earth will eventually be celestialized and become a part of the kingdom of heaven.
The Son will turn the New Earth over to the Father at the end of the Millennium

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God

The Church Christ founded says what Jesus said, namely that FEW
find the narrow way (Mt 7, Lk 13...).
Canonized saints have said EXTREMELY few
Most people listen to their 3 worst enemies: the world, the flesh and the devil. And if you listen to that last one too much (actually all of them speak to us all the days of our lives...), you will believe anything and your false beliefs will land you in Hell.

I've read the Bible (DR version) cover to cover TWICE. It's very Catholic, contrary to the lies you hear ubiquitously.... incessantly

If God isn't willing that any should perish, there's hope for anyone.
Of course God is not willing that anyone perish.

But people are willing--willing to sin, willing to accept their own beliefs over the TRUE Christian principles taught by Christ and HIS Church (the Catholic Church)... willing to do their own thing despite the Words of Jesus

(pride)

Yes, people are willing to sin... willing to risk perishing so they can say in the end (nasty as Hell may seem/IS)

"I did it my way"

Most sins can be forgiven.

Most sins can be forgiven.
Sins need to be expiated after forgiven. I went to confession many years ago for a serious sin. Afterwards, I felt that my relationship with God COULD be regained but that something was still left to be done... Penance.

Jesus mentions this in (DR Bible) - Luke 13:3, that "unless you do penance, you will perish"

BTW one must be careful what version of the Bible he reads.

When we sin, a bad residue is left on our souls and also on other parts of us, because we do have a physical body. All that has to be washed clean because as it says in Revelation, nothing "unclean" will be allowed to enter Heaven. This is one reason (the main reason?) Jesus said FEW make it to Heaven.

Penance is a Catholic thing.

I just got through explaining it is a JESUS thing.

But keep reading the bad versions of the Bible... When you die and meet Jesus, He may ask you why you chose the bad versions over the reliable ones... then maybe not even wait for the answer before He sends you off to a hot climate to think about it forever...

There's nothing in the original Greek word that suggests penance.

The DR Bible is the most reliable Bible because when it was put into another language from the original languages Jesus spoke (Hebrew/Aramaic), there was no "interpretative translation" done.

That means that while most "Bible scholars" or at least some, would translate the Bible from one language to, say, English or another language, they would first read the text, interpret it (what they thought given passages meant) and then put THEIR interpretation (which could have been heretical... ) into the other language.

Those who put the DR Bible into other languages

did not do that. It is non-interpretative

What is an example of Catholic penance?

What is an example of Catholic penance?
When you go to confession, the priest gives you a penance to do to make up for your sin. Today, we can't always trust that novus ordo (post Vatican II) priests will do the right thing. The Mass has been changed unlawfully and etc... etc.. But the priest is supposed to give you a penance commensurate with your sin. So if you shop -lifted a package of beef, he'd tell you to take it back to the store if you haven't already eaten it.. LOL Maybe that's not the best example but you get the point, right? If you told someone you love to Go to Hell, he'd tell you to apologize and maybe talk things out... If you ate to the point of being uncomfortable (gluttony) he'd maybe tell you to fast for 20 hours, although NO priests rarely give anyone a "tough" penance like that

All things.

Ephesians 1:9-10
making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite ALL THINGS in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

I thought it was a bunch of hail Mary's and the Rosery.

Those who go to heaven are those for whom Jesus is Lord and Savior.
Jesus is the key.
