How long til we see the the positive benefits of this?

I was on the phone with my Dad this morning. I told him that it was so ironic that the Yippies couldn't bring down the government in the '60s, but conservative republicans seem to be really good at it now. It's the felon's revenge tour, but it warms my old Yippie heart.

It probably does block some more entrenched, but that is the problem with swath and burn approach to personnel reduction. Trying give a bad job reference without any reference to specific bad actions, is just stupid, impotent undirected vindictiveness by Elon and Donny. Elon and Donny have been fcking themselves and their agenda over their petty vindictiveness, and lack of even knowledge of what many of these people did in their positions, and setting themselves up for class action lawsuits. I never even treated contract labor like that, just for being not only decent, but to avoid company liability. Did you?
Yes, if they aren’t getting the job done. The overhead for government is way too high, the staffing is way too high. Cut the shit out of it. If it turns out you need a few more later hire some. They are expendable and replaceable.

But, absolutely no need to give a negative exit to follow them around, without individual reports and previous write-ups. It isn't right, and would be big liability against a private company. The goal in layoffs to reduce headcount is to reduce headcount, not attempt to punish individuals, out of the blue on the way out the door.

Nobody cares. They sure didn’t give a crap when all the pipeline workers were fired. These poor government people will just have to grow up and deal with it.

It looks like the workers that were terminated for cause, with no cause care.
As for privately employed roughnecks and pipeline construction workers, you did not show me where they were terminated for cause, in order to deny unemployment and given a negative job reference to make it harder for them to get another job. Did they do it by email in the middle of the night. I doubt it, simply because I do not remember a bunch of contractors getting the sh#t kicked out of them, when they were wrongfully terminated. I have seen contractor fck over construction workers and get their ass kicked, right there on the jobsite. It ain't pretty. Much better to thank them for their good work, pay them everything coming to them, when letting them go.

Sorry utter horse shit...

Both GOP and Dams hired them... Bush 2 made it into a separate agency...

So now we have established that your knowledge of who is in the USAID comes from bad sources, are you going to keep believing them?
They made a fucking fool out of you here.... You are now been exposed to being a gullible idiot...

How does that feel... They filled you head with shit and let you off..
The probationary employees were all hired within the last two years, probably the last six months. I can’t see a probationary period longer than two years.

Revenue will never increase enough with congress busily buying votes with uncontrolled spending. That’s why the founders limited the revenue sources of the federal government. The idea was to keep it small and powerless. That lasted until FDR.

Because NASA turned into a massive bureaucracy that can’t make a launch window. Musk does a better job for less cost to the taxpayers.
For what? Nothing that is necessary.

Musks rockets keep blowing up
Like NASA in the early 60s

Based on the available information, there is no official count of the total number of federal employees fired due to the recent executive orders. However, estimates suggest the number could be substantial:
  1. Over 75,000 federal employees had accepted a "deferred resignation" offer as of February 12, 2025.
  2. The Internal Revenue Service alone was planning to fire 6,700 probationary employees.
  3. The Environmental Protection Agency fired 388 employees.
  4. The Department of Health and Human Services was in the process of firing about 5,200 health workers.
  5. At the Federal Aviation Administration, between 200 and 300 employees have been fired.
  6. USA TODAY reported that the total number of layoffs could surpass 100,000 workers.
These firings have affected multiple agencies, including the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, and Transportation, among others. The focus has been primarily on probationary employees, who generally have less job security. While an exact figure is not available, it's clear that the scale of these layoffs is significant and widespread across the federal government.
Don't hold your breath.

Trump is a prick

Instead of releasing probationary employees for budgetary reasons, he sends them letters telling them they are being fired for poor performance.

Even if they have outstanding performance reviews or a recent promotion or performance award

Naaawww… Trumps just getting rid of the unnecessary hires Barry Soetoro and Mentally Incapacitated *Joe made to make their employment numbers look better.

How does cutting government spending

The poor and middle class often rely on federal government for assistance.

How does lowering government spending reduce prices at the store?
Less debt equals less inflation. Higher debt equals higher inflation.

A contractor is owed for what’s been done on a site. WTF are government employees owed? If they got paid last week that’s all they are owed. You’re fired, pack your desk and take a hike. Or go on CNN and cry, either way I don’t give a shit.

That does not mean a private business gets to trash their resume, just because you have a reduction in force and wish to reduce head count. They would be sued, in class action and the class action would win judgment. I have no problem with a properly carried out reduction in force/headcount, but this one is stupid, and trashing them as poor performance with no write up is just wrong.

Do you believe in right and wrong, or is it just who is in power, and power alone, makes it right?

"Loyal work force"? They were all hired by the most liberal administration in US history. If they are loyal to anyone it is the liberal wing of the democratic party, certainly not the elected president or the American taxpayers.
That seems to be based entirely upon you're opinion. Do you have any support links? 🤷‍♀️
