The glaciers dug under the water to create continuous land?
Do you think Antarctica looked like the above sea level map 50 million years ago?
No, it was a complete continent (with rivers and lakes of course, but MUCH MORE OF IT WAS ABOVE WATER THEN).
I want to see the map where there the continuous land allowed an Ice Age.
If water didn't stop the last one, why isn't there a glacier on top of Chicago now?
Answered over and over and over again.
Ellesmere was not an island 50 million years ago. North American Ice Age glaciers DUG OUT the surrounding area, just as they did the Great Lakes...
great lakes glaciers - Google Search
www.google.com
Simply put, the Great Lakes were created by glaciers. About 18,000 years ago, the Laurentide glacier covered most of Canada and the Northern U.S. As the glacier moved, it flattened mountains and carved valleys. It's estimated that the glacier was nearly 2.5 miles thick.
Was it an island 20,000 years ago when the ice melted?
No question. North American Ice Age took at least 500k years to fully melt, at least. To do that, Ellesmere's ice manufacturing had to be shut down. When ice turned to water and created an "island" - just as chunks of Antarctica will be when Antarctica finally melts, it shut down Ellesmere from sending glacier to Chicago.
Why would it suddenly melt? It wasn't that much further from the pole 20,000 years ago
compared to 100,000 years. Or a million years.
I dispute the notion in the Google headline that the North American Ice Age - Laurentine Ice Sheet - was intact 20k years ago. Not close. It was very much almost funny melted and the 20k date you use for Chicago comes from scratches of big pieces of ice moving because the rest of the sheet was already melted. Ditto Indiana from 10k years ago - that is from rock scratches.
Post your estimate of how long it took over 5 million cubic miles of ice mostly in Canada to melt.... once Ellesmere Island was "made an island by glacier melting around it"
Yawn.
LOL!!!
It has been a yawner for weeks.
You cannot refute any of it.
Greenland froze while North america thawed.
Co2 had nothing to do with either event since Co2 does PRECISELY NOTHING....
But as long as your Zionist Fascist heroes are behind the Global Warming fraud, spin on, lie, obfuscate, ask the same questions over and over and over you will, because that is your job as a Zionist Fascist TRAITOR.

Here's another link for you to read... BTW, I think they meant 'ice core' in the first sentence. From 30-50 million years ago until 1-2 million years ago... with "thawed" defined as COMPLETELY GREEN with NO EVIDENCE OF PRIOR FREEZING.
Or this one.....From 30-50 million years ago until 1-2 million years ago... with "thawed" defined as COMPLETELY GREEN with NO EVIDENCE OF PRIOR FREEZING.

When Greenland was green: rapid global warming 55 million years ago shows us what the future may hold
Greenland’s conditions were once similar to those of a greenhouse. Volcanoes swelled the land, constricted seaways and gigatonnes of greenhouse gases were released into the atmosphere.theconversation.com
