No, the problem is you've mistaken your bigotries, religious biases, and sexual insecurities for "evil". And you want to impose that on everyone else.

Let's take the obvious example. Homosexuality. You think that gay sex is evil. But if I were to press you on why you think it's evil, your argument would be 'God says it is," and if you were being remotely honest, "I think it's icky!"

Me, I don't see it as evil. I just see it as different. Different strokes for different folks.

there's a bunch of stuff in the Bible that God said was evil that we don't consider evil, like eating shellfish. There's stuff in the bible that God said was okay, like slavery, that we have decided was unacceptable. God didn't change his mind, we changed ours.

In 50 years, all the Churches will be performing gay weddings and trying to pretend they had nothing to do with the homophobia.

Just like 50 years ago, many of the Churches supported segregation.

I happen to be in an interracial marriage. (I'm white, my wife is Asian.) 60 years ago, that would have been illegal in much of the country, with the Churches saying this was good and moral.

What God says is enough for me. The law of the land was different back then in regards to slavery although I'm pretty sure that God was always against it. After all Exodus backs this up with the story of Moses and I don't know about the shellfish I admit but I don't eat it anyways so I never really gave it a second thought.

I mean, there was always evil stuff happening in our country but nothing like this where it's people glorifying death and wanting other innocent people to die. Satan must be raising up an entire army or something.

Maybe the govt can't stifle their freedom of speech but then again, no one has the right to incite riots with their speech. No one has the right to call for violence, which is exactly what the left do on a daily basis in the lamestream media and even in the US Congress!

I'm still really upset that I was called a false Christian by a fellow conservative because I believe in the death penalty when Charlie Kirk himself believed in it as shown in post #62. That is different from pure murder. Sure I also believe that a death threat if serious enough like the ones Tyler Robinson was posting on social media should call for the death penalty too but just think that if that were the case Charlie Kirk would still be alive right now.

Something a lot of people don't realize (Christians, that is) is that in the Old Testament (and God does not change)

it calls for the death penalty

even for ATTEMPTED MURDER

What if a ten year old girl got pregnant or the life of the mother was in danger? Sure I would gladly give my life up for my child, but I understand that not every woman wants to do that and shouldn't be forced to.
