How did the right to peaceably assemble become the right to riot?

We have enough. Don't you, Marty, of all fascists, start "we need due process" unless you provide it to everybody.

As usual not quoting to try to duck a response.

Stop using the term "due process" like you understand what it means, mouth breather.

I don't see anything in the US Constitution that gives the people a right to physically destroy property and disrupt the lives of other Americans. Do you? Where did the right to "protest" come from?

The right to assemble is a fundamental aspect of free speech. This right, enshrined in the First Amendment, allows citizens to gather and express their views, forming a crucial part of our participatory system. This right has its roots in English history evolving from the Magna Carta to the English Bill of Rights, which influenced the Framers of the Constitution.

Our Founding Fathers, inspired by historical precedents and keen to avoid tyranny, crafted a constitution that protected these principles. Their foresight ensured a safeguard for the citizens' ability to assemble, a crucial tool for a functioning constitutional republic.

As such, protesters are supposed to assemble peaceably on sidewalks, etc. The GOP are now crafting a bill which delineates protesters who block highways and such as being in federal violation of the law subject to arrest and stiff penalties.

Except the people who are

I don't get that. The LA police were sitting ducks. They are lucky that crowd was not armed with semi-auto rifles.

By rights, the city should have ordered in a helicopter with a mini gun on it and strafed every last person on that overpass. Instead, they left those cops hang out to die.

Why would anyone return to a job like that?

I have never encouraged anyone to riot, and if I come across any Democrats doing so I will indeed tell them to stop.
May I suggest that you tell your leaders to to join you?

Because they are incapable of telling the truth about the riots, now or in 2020. They encourage them instead.

You are describing SOP by MAGA, so once again you are gaslighting.

It didn't. Not one single person has claimed anyone has the right to riot.
Hard to tell when your cult calls these peaceful protests.
