How China won trade war and got American's to pay.

The one thing I will disagree with is that China was able to get this done. Trump did it to us.

There is also another note in the article about what he was totally wrong about. He said he was going to bring the jobs back to the U.S. when in fact at best the jobs went to other Asian countries.

It's also interesting to note that it was in good part, Boeing's corrupt business practices that that helped undermine things but very little has been reported on that.

the only way jobs will come back here is when taxs and regs get reduced enough to make it profitable to do so,,

trump might have achieved that if dems and repubes cared about it,, but alas they done because they make more money working for china,,

Amazon paid squat in taxes. How much of their crap comes from China?
whats that got to do with manufacturing???

You are arguing also that we need to allow corporations to poison our water if you want jobs back. No we do not.

Amazon should be hammered with taxes over the things they ship here from China.
and what about the poisoning of the air and seas from all those big shipping boats that cover the oceans??

what happens when of sinks and dump thousand of containers into the ocean??

how much fossil fuels do they burn for a single trip??

esasier to have manufacturing here so we can keep track and make sure they done poison the environment,,

Yes but we do NOT have to allow the poisoning of our environment to do that. Any company importing from China that is not meeting U.S. regs in China should be hit with huge taxes to mitigate the damages.

easier to just bring manufacturing back home and keep a closer eye on it,,

So it's supporting Jina to notice Dump made it worse?
You mean to happily point out that trump failed to single-handedly defeat china

many powerful forces are invested in globalism because it benefits themselves at the expense of the nation

too many others got caught up in partisan politics because they just didnt like trump personally

How did corporations survive in the "good ole days" when taxes were between 70 to 90%??

And exactly what "regulations" need to be cut for all of this "prosperity" among American workers to take place??

You folks never specify what regulations need to be cut -- you just simply say "we need to cut regulations" -- which is usually some shit trickle down conservatives say rhetorically -- as if cutting regulations for the sake of cutting regulations is a solution....

there would be specific regs for specific industries,, but its mostly about taxs

as for your way back machine,,, they struggled and used every loop hole they could and almost NOBODY paid the highest rate

the question is what do you care about??
are you OK with lower prices when its because of slave labor in a foreign country where you cant see the suffering??

or are you willing to pay more to make sure your family and friends can work and feed their families??

I'm absolutely fine with paying higher prices. We pay anyway. Well, we do in theory but not in reality. Put people out of work. Taxpayers pick up the slack. Drive down wages. Taxpayers pick up the slack. In theory. We don't actually pay our debts.

Paying higher prices means we don't continue to add trillions to our debt.

No I mean that his failure to accomplish any positive vis a vis China trade is …. a fact. His policy was a failure. Bigly. He actually made it worse, while also seeing the EU make a separate peace with Jina.

With all of those loop holes they still paid far more in taxes than what corps pay now -- and we still refer to these days as the "good old days"

And you whine about corporate taxes as if these corps don't have loops holes that they use today.....loops holes that have them paying effectively zero taxes...but I am of the opinion you would be more thrilled if govt just subsidized businesses instead.....

And offset that cost of those subsidies on the middle class

So you are in favor of China ripping us off and stealing our jobs and IP???

It is IMPOSSIBLE for them to steal our jobs. Seriously, how do you suppose they sneak them on the ships to get them to China?

China stole nothing. U.S. corporations sent them there.

You are an ignorant moron. It's not just US corporations pissed about China stealing Japan is also hopping mad. And don't even get me started on China's counterfeiting Japan and US products. It's ignorant morons like you electing ignorant morons like Biden that enables China to rip us off. Intentionally dumping product in the US at below cost for the purpose of destroying US industries. After 4 years, shouldn't we have seen a massive in flux of jobs returning back from China because of how totally awesome Trump is at business and stuff??

"During the two years before Trump took office, 2015, and 2016, foreign outsourcing by the U.S., manufacturers actually fell by 90,300 jobs worldwide, including 27,800 fewer U.S. outsourced jobs in China, 50,900 fewer in Mexico, 12,700 fewer in Canada, and 153,300 fewer in Europe."

anyone that starves in this country or the world is due to their own laziness,, cause food literally grows out of the ground with little effort,,,

if you did care you would feed them yourself or teach them how to provide for themselves not coddle them in their poverty,,,

to send money to washington for that purpose is counter productive because they always take a big cut for themselves that is completely wasted,,,

After 4 years, shouldn't we have seen a massive in flux of jobs returning back from China because of how totally awesome Trump is at business and stuff??

"During the two years before Trump took office, 2015, and 2016, foreign outsourcing by the U.S., manufacturers actually fell by 90,300 jobs worldwide, including 27,800 fewer U.S. outsourced jobs in China, 50,900 fewer in Mexico, 12,700 fewer in Canada, and 153,300 fewer in Europe."

maybe its not about trump and more about us and what we care about,,,

do you enjoy seeing people without work??

Goddamn what are you 12 years old and still ignorant of the world or something?

China isn't stealing Japanese jobs. You will note that I support massive taxes on the items coming here. This is not China though, it is US companies. That's why nothing is done.

As far as technology that was a part of the deal. Cheap labor and a sharing of technology was agreement. Now companies are mad about that agreement and want to blame China. They did it themselves.
