It may seem like confrontation to you because you are clearly incapable of posting anything but tired old, mostly untrue, untrue pieces of Russian propaganda while ignoring completely Russia's most heinous and treacherous actions in the last century and this one. The differences between Russia and Nazi Germany are only slight and insignificant.
Let's begin your history lesson with a review of the Holodomor, the Russian genocide against the people of Ukraine in which Russian deliberately starved to death nearly 4 million Ukrainian civilians to try to put down a movement toward independence, just as Putin is today trying to freeze to death as many Ukrainian civilians as possible in the hope of discouraging Ukraine from resisting the brutal Russian invasion of their homeland. To date, Russia has never expressed any regret about this most heinous crime, and in Putin's Russia it is a crime to refer to it. Read all about it here:
Holodomor, man-made famine that claimed millions of lives in the Soviet republic of Ukraine in 1932–33. Because the famine was so damaging, and because it was covered up by Soviet authorities, it has played a large role in Ukrainian public memory, particularly since Ukraine gained independence...

A few years after committing the mass murder of millions of Ukrainians, Russia started WWII by partnering with Nazi Germany to invade Poland, clearly demonstrating there was little difference between Nazi Germany and Russia. To date, Russia has never expressed any regret over this action, and to Putin's mind, only a traitor would ever mention it. Together with the Ukrainian genocide, these are two of the most heinous and treacherous actions committed by any nation in the last century committed by any nation other than Russia's twin, Nazi Germany.
The third most treacherous and heinous crime committed by Russia occurred at the end of the war when Russia ignored its solemn pledge to the other WWII at Yalta to allow the eastern European nations to develop free after the Nazis had been driven out and held them captive for nearly half a century, again demonstrating there are no significant differences between Russia and Nazi Germany, and today, Putin expresses his passionate regret that these nations were ever set free.
This little history lesion covers a period of about 90 years and demonstrates that Russia was and is every bit as evil and Nazi Germany was.
During the same period, it is unlikely either Germany or Japan would have been defeated and it is also unlikely that Russia would have been prevented from invading further into Europe.
