The right's war on sound, responsible governance on full display.Republicans signal cuts to Social Security, Medicare with new House majority
The House GOP is itching for a fight over spending cuts — including to major entitlement programs.news.yahoo.com
Well, here we go again. I guess there needs to be room for more tax cuts for the super wealthy.
We need to get A Lot of You actually working in the first place. That will fund it.From your link:
The Republican Study Committee proposed a budget for fiscal 2023 that would gradually increase the eligibility ages for Social Security and Medicare, and change the Social Security benefit formula for people 54 and younger, while not changing it for people closer to receiving benefits.
Outstanding!
I've been saying for a looooong time that we need to increase the eligibility age to 70 and index it to 9 percent of the population.
We are living longer, we should be working longer. This is just plain common sense, and inevitable.
trump was preoccupied with fleecing America and giving his rich pals a big tax break.Good question.
Actually, raising the Social Security and Medicare eligibility ages IS sound governance, for once. The right's war on sound, responsible governance on full display.
People ARE working. The "labor shortage" is a load of garbage. We need to get A Lot of You actually working in the first place. That will fund it.
A compliment from g5000 for Republicans? And hell will commence freezing over.Actually, raising the Social Security and Medicare eligibility ages IS sound governance, for once.

Look at who pays the tax bill. Its not the proletariat, its the upper income earners. That's what Republicans are known for. Creating, and increasing austerities for the working class and making sure their wealthy donors are well taken care of. Pick yourself up by your bootstraps capitalism for working-class people and socialism for the rich and powerful.

Enjoy your welfare and medicare paid for by others!!
70% of income taxes are paid by the top 25% of incomes.
The bottom 50% pay 3%.

Your criticism is flawed and dishonest. Actually, it's capitalism that is a disaster (the poorest countries on Earth are run and ruined by capitalism), and you don't have the ideological luxury of criticizing socialist economies of the past or present when the US and its allies are imposing sanctions and constantly threatening said countries with war. Believe it or not, that does have a negative effect on a nation's economy. Cuba is a great example of the resilience of communism in preserving a nation despite being in the shadow of a powerful capitalist bully empire that is trying to destroy it economically and otherwise.OMG, communism came and went. Your fantasy is a proven unworkable disaster, from Russia to Cuba to Venezuela, duh.
You guess WRONG! Never trust a liberal.Republicans signal cuts to Social Security, Medicare with new House majority

No one believes McCarthy. He is as big a liar as trump.
