House passes Big, Beautiful Bill

Great .
Step One -- achieved
Step Two -- Get two rate cuts from Fed and watch Inflation roar away .
Step Three --- watch Dollar sink
Step Four -- Get ID Plans moving and prepare for Re-Set
Step five ---- Man the lifeboats

The 15 million people losing health coverage will be relieved!
Who exactly? The disabled, parents with children, and those with part-time jobs keep it.

The only people who risk losing it are the entitled lazies who refuse to get even a part-time job. Why do you want to encourage people to suck off welfare entirely and not pitch in even slightly toward their expenses?

Well oddball, if they don't pass a budget, the 2017 tax cuts come off and that's an automatic 4 trillion debt in September. Tax cuts aren't free. They did it for the tax cuts and the no tax on tips and SS. That was the true purpose of the bill. It's why the republicans said they'd need to several bills and not one bill. Are you saying there wasn't any cuts at all? I don't think that's correct. The only piece I didn't like was the green incentives. But you know what, there are other needs bigger than that for middle class workers.
You talk like Paul Ryan. :puke:

Most on Medicaid already have jobs. Ask your MAGA friends.
You keep saying that. It’s irrelevant.

We are cutting down on the millions on Medicaid who do NOT have jobs. Now they’ll have to work part-time to keep their free health insurance. The horrors.

My taxes aren't going to be lowered. Neither will yours. The wealthier and the corporations will get their cuts extended and enhanced....and the rest of us...will pay for it.

You could always go to work with your kkklan when corporations grow and need to hire more line swine.

It’s just a bad idea. It kicks good people off a good program for no reason.

There IS a reason.

We cannot afford it.

medicaid is a state's issue.

Again, why do you fkers think tax payers ought to fund lazy people who do nothing? and illegals.

why did emergency room visits drop?
Why did emergency room visits drop? Come on. When people don't have health insurance they get their medical care via the emergency room. That one is easy. Drug overdoses dropped because beneficiaries were able to access mental health services. Since expansion in 2023, 6.1 million NEW prescriptions for those with chronic health conditions were issued.

Yes, Medicaid is a state issue but it has always been dependent on federal funding. Transferring those expenses to the state does nothing. It will either necessitate the state to increase taxes to make up the shortfall, or beneficiaries lose benefits. It will probably be both, forcing state residents to pay more in taxes and yet receive less in benefits for society as a whole.

And the whole fund lazy people who do nothing is just horseshit. The vast majority of those on expanded Medicaid work, and even a large percentage of those on Medicaid itself work to some extent, when possible.

Democrats are claiming that according to the non-partisan CBO, this bill will increase the income of the top 10% of Americans while hurting everyone else. Raising the SALT Cap to 40k certainly helped the top 10% and that was supported by RINOs and Democrats alike who all wanted to completely removed. Funny how that works.

I would be in favor of this bill cutting much more, but getting RINOs on board for that would be tough. Democrats don’t want any part of that either. They want more and more social programs with no end in sight.

I don’t know why you even bother trying to justify anything. Conservatives don’t have any values anymore.

Everything is just excuses to get what you want. It’s all pretext.

A month ago, the debt was an existential crisis which means we had to get rid of USAID.

This month, they add $3 trillion to the debt.

Last year, we can’t pass big complicated bills because it’s a bad way to run the country.

This year, we pass a 1100 page bill with tax cuts, budget cuts, border wall spending, and a million little giveaways to special interests.

I’d ask you to just be honest but you probably believe all this self contradictory nonsense.

It’s a big help to the working and middle class, who will see a big tax increase averted. It’s a help to the lower-income since they won’t pay tax on tips or overtime. And it’s a help to ALL Americans by keeping the border secure and deporting illegals.
How is a $2 trillion deficit any benefit to anyone?

This is the kind of battered spouse syndrome that caused me to stop voting for republicans.

Who exactly? The disabled, parents with children, and those with part-time jobs keep it.
Wrong, the point of adding more paperwork and Kafkaesque reporting requirements is to deny benefits to people legally entitled to them.

It’s the equivalent of DOGE closing SSA offices while limiting phone services and reducing staffing.

There are no “TaxCuts” correct? Simply keeping 2017 numbers? But for fringe improvements like no tax on tips? I am certain that was unrnforcable tpe nightmare for IRS with likes of AOC cheating while being a cocktail waitress.

FYI: Winston is the poster who claimed he has an MBA but refused to work because he wanted to have a low income to get his six (6!) kids on welfare. Take whatever he says with that knolwedge that he and his family are welfare leeches.
You are like a broken damn record. Yes, when my kids were young, I maxed out the EITC. I be damn if I was going to pay an 80% marginal tax rate. But if anything, I treated that "welfare" as an investment the government was willing to make if I was willing to invest the "time" necessary to raise those kids properly.

Three graduate degrees, two doctors, two businesses that employ people. The tax revenue the government collects every year from just one of my children easily eclipses all the government welfare we got in a year back in the day.

Nothing Congress likes more than huge partisan bill that no one has read.

But we can afford all the other bullshit Republicans want?

It’s not a reason.
What other things?

We cannot afford a meat pie from a flea market.

The word broke means that we have zero money.

What happens when you have zero money? In government, that means they print more of it.

When that happens, the value for EVERY FUCKING THING goes down.

The young generation cannot buy homes, food, rent, education.

It affects every thing we do.

GOVERNMENT MUST BE CUT. The printing of MONEY must stop.

Big beautiful bill with big beautiful deficits.

Oh, so you got the status quo....You didn't move the metaphorical football ONE FUCKING INCH in the direction of fiscal sanity.
