House passes Big, Beautiful Bill

You "negotiated" and didn't move the football ONE FUCKING INCH!

You're the cheapest fucking date in town.
I got the 2017 tax cuts permanent, and tax on tips and no SS taxes. Why is that nothing to you?

At over a thousand pages, I'd wager it mostly provides cover for the usual Congressional pork and carveouts.
give the president the power to veto line items like governors. Honestly, you all act like you don't understand how this fking works. BTW, the senate will change quite a bit of it. Do you know what those are?

Those big tax increases being adverted was just a damn accounting gimmick used to pass Trump's first tax cuts. As Oddball has pointed out, extending them is not a cut, it is a continuation of the status quo. Funny how Republican use the CBO baseline when it suits their messaging, ignores it when it doesn't.

No taxes on tips or overtime? Boy howdy, that one is going to come back and bite you Trumpnuts in the ass. First, who pays federal income taxes on tips now? I mean you got to be on the high end of the server pay scale to even pay taxes. I would venture less than one in ten. But, those claimed tips, they are FICA taxed, and they are what your future retirement is based on. Does that go away too?

And overtime. Well Trump gets his way, make over thirty grand a year, well you don't get overtime. You become "exempt". Or you can be forced to work 60 hours this week and 20 next, no overtime.

Over $30,000 per year no OT? What the heck are you babbling about you old donkey? Trump gets his way? WTH? Congress writes these bills and tweaks them thru you ignorant fear monkey in a cage. Get off the boards dopey.

Oh, so you got the status quo....You didn't move the metaphorical football ONE FUCKING INCH in the direction of fiscal sanity.

Gawd, are you MAGAfolk fucking cheap dates.
Debt and spending ratios to the GDP will decrease. Watch and learn.

Why did emergency room visits drop? Come on. When people don't have health insurance they get their medical care via the emergency room. That one is easy. Drug overdoses dropped because beneficiaries were able to access mental health services. Since expansion in 2023, 6.1 million NEW prescriptions for those with chronic health conditions were issued.
ACA destroyed 80% of the country. fk.
Yes, Medicaid is a state issue but it has always been dependent on federal funding. Transferring those expenses to the state does nothing. It will either necessitate the state to increase taxes to make up the shortfall, or beneficiaries lose benefits. It will probably be both, forcing state residents to pay more in taxes and yet receive less in benefits for society as a whole.
but it isn't stopping funding.
And the whole fund lazy people who do nothing is just horseshit. The vast majority of those on expanded Medicaid work, and even a large percentage of those on Medicaid itself work to some extent, when possible.
no it isn't, welfare recipients don't do work for their funding. Why?

The Social Security tax elimination was cut out of the bill....Aside for tips and overtime, YOU GOT FUCKING NOTHING!

Sucker.
I got the 2017 tax permanent. for fk sake, that was the one thing to get.

Isn't it the working class that generally gets over time and tips and overtme? Democrats were against that too.

Every Democrat voted AGAINST keeping the tax cuts and maintaining a secure Southern border, but the Republicans have succeeded.

Now on to the Senate. Hope the RINOs don’t derail it.

Every Democrat voted against reckless, irresponsible legislation that will harm millions of Americans.

Biden's deficit was $2T, Trump's is $380b as estimated by CBO.
Much less if tariffs get raised.
It shifts the tax burden on to the poor, by cutting their medical care and cutting their food stamps by hundreds of billions, and adding tariffs to purchases taxes them more as a percentage of income, because they spend their entire income on purchases while the wealthy or you and i, won't.

If the tax cuts were not given above the $500,000 earnings, as dems proposed, then the medical care and food assistance for the poor would not be hit with such drastic cuts that really, will take other peoples lives away....

Is it really so important for those making more than $500k, to get these tax cuts over and above the $500k of their taxable earnings?

You mean like no tax on tips or overtime? That is taking less money from people who earned it not giving more free stuff to people who didn't. Therein lies the difference between Republicans and Democrats.
We’d all love to live in a world without taxes, but that’s a fantasy.

Therein lies the difference between Republicans and Democrats.

No they won't...The GOP will find a way to piss away any increased tax revenue, just like they always have.

I repeat: the MAGA fanboys are the cheapest dates in town.
again, unless you can swap out everyone in congress you got nothing, will always get nothing. There's no way to hold all their feet to the fire. NO FKING WAY. Too many stupid people

There were no tax cuts in the bill...All it did was maintain 2017 levels.

Nobody cares about welfare for millions of indigent border crashers and able-bodied layabouts.

There are no “TaxCuts” correct? Simply keeping 2017 numbers? But for fringe improvements like no tax on tips? I am certain that was unrnforcable tpe nightmare for IRS with likes of AOC cheating while being a cocktail waitress.
Not really a nightmare. Pretty easy actually.

The IRS "allocates" 8% of a server's total sales as "tips". Sell a thousand dollars in a night, IRS says you made at least $80 rather you claim it or not. Then you got the credit card tips, where most of the action is today anyway. Those tips are on the server's number, the IRS knows they got it.

Can you beat the system? Sure, and cocktail waitresses have a big advantage, although bartenders have it even better. I believe AOC was a bartender. But you got to know what you are doing. First, every night, you have to back out the credit card sales and tips, claim all those tips and eight percent of the remaining sales.

You got any extra, and if you are good, you might have a bit. But you are going to have to average about a 25% tip under some high volume. But that money has to stay out of your checking account. Safety Deposit Box and Traveler's Checks, the only option you got outside of Crypto.
