House may try to pass Senate health-care bill without voting on it

Its almost as if they want it thrown out by the USSC.

i doubt it...scotus will probably just say its nonjusticiable

it really is a sad day that the dems know this bill won't pass unless they HIDE the votes...this should be a wake up call and they should listen to the american people

Actually Claudette, they ARE using what little brains they have left. They can't think past the obstacle. They (Nancy Pelosi mostly) will do ANYTHING to pass this bill. It is all she has. If it fails, she's doomed. If it passes, ironically, she's still doomed. But the sad part is, she doesn't seem to care! And the entire nation will pay the price and she will still not care.

She's evil to the core.

Just more typical Washington bullshit. Makes you feel like they really listen to the will of the people, huh? Those congress critters that aren't outright crooks are high profile con men.

What are you all worried about? San Fran Nan has assured us that we'll like it when we see what's in, but it needs to be passed first.

If they had the votes, they'd vote on it, pure and simple. They don't have the votes, so this is the way left to them to get it passed.

Fuckers.

How on earth can they think this is legal?

The biggest question for a court challege right now is who will have standing to oppose it?

More irony...President Obama said himself yesterday that what we need is a straight up and down vote.

Even HE understands that the "DEEM PASS" is political suicide.

It is legal...and it's constitutional. Sadly, if utilized, it can't be stopped and the only fallout will be that the reform will become law and there will be a whole bunch of new congresseional representatives elected in 10. Oh yeah, and Pelosi will probably have a hard time getting past the Pearly Gates. I hear the bouncers are pretty tough on heartless, thoughtless, elitists.

Don't think so ... according to the Constitution ... it's not constitutional.

whats wrong with opposing this bill because it MANDATES citizens to purchase something. are you libs that dumb? if you eliminated that alone you would probably be able to pass it without all this backroom duck n hide tactics.

“You go through the gate. If the gate’s closed, you go over the fence. If the fence is too high, we’ll pole-vault in. If that doesn’t work, we’ll parachute in. But we’re going to get health care reform passed for the American people.”

Pelosi meant it.

I hope the Democrats do what they have to do to get it past. After all, they are behaving no differently than Republicans always have. It's about time the prez stopped worrying about them. They just want to bring him down, even at the expense of the country.

Through their own admission they are nothing but obstructionists to this healthcare deal. Now they're whining and snivelling about it. Like John Bonehead was this morning.

Yup, it sure is.

And that's what happens when you have a bunch of whiners on the other side anouncing that they're gonna throw every up possible roadblock they can.

Sorry, but it most certainly is not constitutional to deem a bill passed without a vote. Please show me where that is allowable in the constitution.

And one more time for the slow, the Republicans couldn't block shit for a year. The Democrats had a super majority, and still couldn't get this mess passed. So stop with the lies that the Republicans held this up. It just isn't true.

People on here are also nuts to think that opposition to this can't be used against Republicans just as Repubs will be using this against Dems this year. It goes both ways.
