Put some good movies in a theater and I'll go to one.

Once upon a time in Hollywood was the last movie in a theater worth going to see for me.

I have to spend my time, energy, and gas to go to a theater. Then I have to put up with obxoxious kids at theaters that play on their phones and talk during the movie while the staff does nothing. Have to lay high prices for the ticket and at the concession stand. Then spend time, energy, and gas to drive back home.

Why would I do all that for some shitty movie?

I took my daughter to a few to make her happy (the longest ride, star wars ep 7 ). Now she is older and agrees they were worthless wastes of money.
