My stepdad was Swedish. It was on the Christmas buffet every year.
 
New Englanders don't have special Christmas foods, per se, since the Puritans frowned on Christmas celebrations. People start their own family traditions, though. Personally, I just go for the eggnog with a generous splash of booze.

Tonight's fare: Chinese dumplings paired with vodka.
In the AM: Lox and Bagels.

Then over the river and through the woods to be fed by sis and bro in law.
