Moreover, not only does no one person have that authority, there is no legislative or judicial entity that has the authority to do so as well.

In fact, gun ‘confiscation’ is impossible, as the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment requires due process and just compensation for private property taken by the government. Even if just compensation is not warranted concerning firearms, each of those 300,000,000 takings would still be entitled to due process, which could take centuries to adjudicate. And that doesn’t even take into consideration establishing justification for warrants to search private property for guns to be confiscated in the first place.

Are you beginning to get some inkling as to the depth and breadth of your ignorance of the law, and that the premise of your OP is pathetic, moronic tripe, and fails accordingly?

1: Necessary --- This is the only time the Constitution states that ANYTHING is NECESSARY to maintain a FREE STATE.

2: Article IV, section 4 --- The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government --- This makes it clear that only a Republic is a Free State, and that firearms are NECESSARY to maintain this republic.


You seem to believe that if our firearms were taken, that we would continue to be a "constitutional republic." No. It ends when they are taken.
