Absolute fantasy.
This is why I no longer bother here.
I will never support Trumpism.Maybe I'm missing something.
What could Trump possibly say to get you to switch from Biden?
Alternatively, what could Biden possibly say to get you to switch to Trump?
I suppose there are issues that you disagree with Sleepy Joe on, but nothing so critical as to shake your vote for him.
I will never support Trumpism.
I very well may go back to voting third party, although as a one issue voter (that we have to change our electoral system), I'm hoping the Forward Party will be able to put some candidates up.

I don't know. Forward Party candidates will be my top priority. I'd like to vote FOR something instead of AGAINST something.Maybe I'm wrong, but my guess is that your vote is still safe for Brandon for 2024, if you think that 74 million little Trumpsters have a chance in hell of defeating him. If Biden is safely installed, and Trump decides to retire from public service, then I think you'd be comfortable voting 3rd Party. But that's just my guess.
At first, maybe. But democrats have a decisive advantage, over rhe GOP, when it comes to altering their platform to appeal to more voters. As in, they can and will do it, where the GOP only goes in the other direction, and merely uses old hot button social issues to drum up more votes by getting more people pissed off.My guess is that the Dems have essentially kept Hispanics/Latinos on automatic pilot all these years, just assuming that they'd stay there.
I can tell you first hand, there are plenty of these folks who are just not into a lot of the cultural crap the Dems push, and they're coming to the realization that any economic benefit they may be getting isn't all that significant in the big picture.
It just looks like the size of the group is increasing. I suspect the Dems will dismiss it, which is what both parties do when their orthodoxy is challenged.
That's probably true, but so far I've seen zero (0) indication that the Democrats even realize how their approach to the cultural issues turns people off, let alone that they're willing to take any risks that might piss off their base.At first, maybe. Holy shit Mac1958 I finally agree with Super Leftologist JoeB…..Dems own dark people because they promise to dethrone whitey, to take from whitey and give to them…FREE SHIT.That any Hispanic who votes Republican is dumber than a Chicken who votes for Colonel Sanders.
We've been over this, Vichy Mac. You predicted a big Hispanic shift to Trump, and it didn't happen. (no, a four percent variance for an incumbent president isn't a shift.)
Which proves exactly nothing. The reality is, Americans as a whole are socially conservative and fiscally liberal. So the GOP has always done a pretty good job getting stupid people to vote for them by playing on their sexual and religious fears as well as their racial ones.
Pretty interesting article below.
We've discussed this many times here, but the Democrats' approach to "minorities" as a whole may end up backfiring on them. It's beginning to look like, generally speaking, American Hispanics may be more conservative than American Blacks. And if that's true, the party's dependence on Identity Politics and other cultural tactics may be wearing thin for them. They may be facing a fork in the political road. And Hispanics represent 18% of the population, Democrats. (For that matter, I do very much wonder how American Blacks feel about some specific cultural issues)
In my half brown family, and my coincidentally half brown extended family (weird how that worked out), that's certainly the case. And I can tell you it would be more so, if it weren't for the current condition of the GOP.
Thoughts?
The GOP is gaining among Texas Hispanics. Women are leading the charge.
In places where Donald Trump made some of his biggest inroads with Hispanic voters, women are playing a key role in the Republican Party’s growth.www.politico.com
"They want more border security or are staunchly against abortions. They feel their husbands, family members, neighbors and friends that are Border Patrol agents or are in law enforcement are being unfairly villainized by Democrats. They worry Democrats are hostile to the oil and gas industry, which provides many good-paying jobs in the state. They worry the left is forgetting family values and the value of work.
"Broadly, they also argue that Democrats outside of the Valley have miscalculated that Hispanics there are as progressive as Hispanic voters in more liberal strongholds such as California and New York, when in reality, they’re far more moderate."

"Communism"You are promoting political parties that existed in other eras. With success to voters. The Repub Party is conservative democrat to left leaning Republican from those eras now. The Democratic Party is left of its left wing and us Socialist moving towards Communism. So the Repub Party makes sense to those who have some values that is at least promoted.
"Communism"
Democrats would be a right of center party in UK or Germany.. What are you calling those countries then...
Yep. And yet, when you poll the democrat platform, the ideas in it enjoy 60%+ support nearly across the board. That's probably true, but so far I've seen zero (0) indication that the Democrats even realize how their approach to the cultural issues turns people off, let alone that they're willing to take any risks that might piss off their base.

Murrica
Negative, the gop has got people to vote for them because the dems moved farther left.
Youngkin here in Virginia either won the Hispanic vote outright or came so close that it made no difference. He got the percentages he needed from that block of voters.
Just forget Trump ever existed and look at the down ballot voting in 2020 and you will find a swing by Hispanics toward the gop that should more than concern you.
Fact is you can't wish away what is going on with the Hispanic vote. They are becoming as mainstream as white voters and because they are hard workers and family oriented and want to do well for them and theirs so you should not expect them to stay on the dem plantation like your dependent black slaves do.
The worm is turning with Hispanics and you only have your corrupt leftist agenda to blame.
You can't count 2020 where the CCP and dems cheated in the tens of millions column
Socially conservative and fiscally liberal?
Lmfao thanks for the morning laugh, crack head
They use "communism" and "commie" and "Marxist" and "Stalinist" and "Nazi" to scare themselves and each other."Communism"

I am not surprised, I think it has been known for some time that they tend to be culturally more conservative and also more religious. If Republicans would toe down some of the uglier nativist and anti immigrant rhetoric, they’d have a large portion of the group. But that would go against tbe base.Good examples here:
Column: Why Democrats should worry about more Latinos going for GOP in 2024
In a 2022 election that could be a ballot-box bloodbath for Democrats, more Latinos going Republican could unleash an electoral earthquake.www.latimes.com
