Steven Rattner, an alum of Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers, sent Clinton a personal email in February 2009 thanking her for her hand in securing the position.
"Thanks for all your support and offers of help while I was working through this," Rattner wrote after detailing the advisory role he would play for then-Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
