Donald Trump articulated a robust stance against Hezbollah. ā€œHezbollah is a menace to the Lebanese state, people and region,ā€ the US president said. ā€œThe group continues to increase its military arsenal which threatens Israel.ā€

In addition Trump linked Hezbollah to Iran and claimed that together they ā€œfuel a humanitarian catastrophe in Syria. It portrays itself as a defender of Lebanese interests but its true interest is itself and its sponsor, Iran.ā€

....Trump wants to make the Lebanese army into an ā€œeffective fighting forceā€ but the reality is that Hezbollah increasingly controls much of the foreign and military policy of Lebanon. Trump doesnā€™t have a plan to disentangle that, and Hariri isnā€™t a partner, at the moment, in doing so.

Guns and butter

Hariri discussed the need for ā€œsafeguarding political and economic stability while combating terrorism.ā€ He said that he ā€œthanked Trump for support for our army and peace and stability along the southern border.ā€

This acknowledges that Hariri, insofar as he has much of a say, wants quiet with Israel. But he needs financial assistance for the military and especially support for the Syrian refugees who are potentially a destabilizing force in Lebanon. They now make up around 20% of the country.

Yes, Hariri is going to need help. Yes, Hezbollah is in the government. There is no misunderstanding.

Trump can leave the decision whether Hezbollah is good or bad to the Lebanese. So fighting al-Qaeda and ISIS is "fuel a humanitarian catastrophe", according to Trump. I am wondering whatĀ“s in the water in the White House. Or do they have ISIS leaflets over there?

"BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:25 P.M.) ā€“ Lebanese Prime Minister Saā€™ad Hariri stated on Wednesday that he disapproves of Hezbollahā€™s ongoing offensive in the ā€˜Arsal Barrens of the Beqaā€™a Governorate, Naharnet News Agency reported.

ā€œI do not approve of what Hezbollah is doing in Arsalā€™s outskirts,ā€ the Lebanese Premier said on Wednesday, as quoted by Naharnet.

Haririā€™s comment comes just 24 hours after he met with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington D.C.

Prior to Haririā€™s comment, the U.S. President bizarrely commended the Lebanese Armed Forces for fighting the Islamic State (ISIL), Al-Qaeda, and Hezbollah.

Oddly enough, Hezbollah and the Lebanese Armed Forces are working side-by-side in the Arsal outskirts and not actually fighting each other like Donald Trump claimed.

Hezbollah is currently on their second phase of the ā€˜Arsal offensive after taking control of over 90 percent of the area."

Partition cowardly, apathetic, escapist, and dependent Lebanon among Syria, Israel, and the proud and noble Druze. A small country that doesn't militarize and become a death trap for invaders, like Israel did, has no right to exist.

The myth that the Middle East mess was created by France and England after World War I has become an accepted meme preached by academic traitors who do everything they can to tear down our civilization. The fault lies entirely with Islam; the brilliant partitions delayed the inevitable jihad by 55 years.
