Hey guys, stumbled across this forum and thought it interesting enough to register for. Made me first post...linking to a blog I was reading. Took me a minute to realize that posting links as soon as one registers is kind of...spammy. But I'm real, so please don't ban!

Anyways, I'm a progressive independent politically. Hope that isn't too outside the mainstream here.

EDIT: Lol, it didn't show up. Is there some filter that removes all my posts containing links until I get to a certain number or something?

Progressive independent means a Liberal who isn't fully certain he should blindly follow the herd like every other Liberal does -yet... But he's seriously considering it.

And socialism is a bad word in the US because everyone pictures the Soviet Union and Marxist-Leninism. A system which I find abhorent. So no, I'm not a "socialist."
