President Barack Obama announced his support for a new jobs program funded by money left over from the Wall Street bailout.
Obama on Monday said he would press Congress to pass legislation to pay for additional infrastructure works, tax breaks for small businesses and incentives for consumers who weatherize their homes.
Obama wants TARP funds for jobs bill
Typical left mindset, taking credit for everything, including things they haven't done. Not so long ago, Obama sharply criticized Bush's TARP, now trying to take credit for its partial success. I guess it's only natural he'd try to take credit for it, seeing as how his stimulus plan in the first three quarters of this year has been a dismal failure and created few, if any, real jobs. He claim he saved many, yeah right.
Launched hastily under the last administration, the TARP program was flawed, and we have worked hard to correct those flaws and manage it properly...because of our stewardship of this program, and the transparency and accountability we put in place, TARP is expected to cost the taxpayer at least $200 billion less than what was anticipated just this summer.
Wow. Looks like he doesnt remember that TARP took place before he gets into WH. Claiming that he has anything to do with its success is just idiotic.
My question is, can returned TARP money and money that is not spent be used for anything else then stated in the bill? Anyways, why to spend any of TARP money if 3/4 of the stimulus is not spent?
