Democrats don't want an educated person as president, of ANY color. Mathmetician-Rocket Scientist Herman Cain, stands totally in opposition to the illiterate affirmative action president they have now.
Why do you do this?
It serves NO purpose at all.
Obama has a top education and so does Cain.
Morehouse is a top flight school.
So is Harvard.
They both did well in college.
Why spew mindless lies for poltical purposes?
If obama did so well at Harvard, what were his grades? I'm willing to grant you that he did well, IF he could prove it. Cain took his education and became a ballistics expert for the Navy. Obama was editor of the Harvard Law Review for one year, recognized in the legal field as being the worst year and least cited in 20 years. After graduation, obama got a job with a law firm as an affirmative action hire. What were the cases that he litigated? Did he litigate any major cases? Or, was he put in an office to be trotted out for show? Writ large on obama's resume is that he was a professor of Constitutional Law. In reality he was NEVER a professor of Constitutional law. He was an adjunct or visiting professor.
Not so hot. On Volokh.com, somebody calling himself LawStatMan goes all Bill James on the citation record:
ObamaÂ’s vol. 104 is the least-cited volume of the Harvard Law Review in the last 20 years
I've run electronic searches to determine the number of times ObamaÂ’s volume 104, and every other volume of the Harvard Law Review published during the last 20 years, has been cited in all law reviews during each subsequent year for which full data is available (starting in the year after the last issue of each volume appeared, and running through 2006, the last year for which full citation data is currently available).
a more rigorous blue-penciler."
There doesn't seem to be any record of Obama publishing anything in his own journal. The commenter who say he's a former editor of HLR claimed on Volokh:
"The law students on the Review all have the right to publish at least one piece (typically they publish at least their third-year papers, which they have to write anyway), and many publish at least two pieces. It would seem surprising if Obama published nothing at all in the very Review over which, he has so often boasted, he presided as President."
Okay, assuming all this is true, what are we to make it?
1. Obama was, objectively speaking, a lousy president of the Harvard Law Review.
How Good Was Obama At Running The Harvard Law Review? | VDARE.com
Not only was he a lousy president, but he never bothered to publish anything of his own! Stupidity or just LAZY.
Obama's laughable legal "career".
"He was doing the work that any first-year or second-year associate would do," Miner said. "In litigation, he was doing basic research and writing memos. . . . In the first couple years he would play a very minor role. He wouldn't know [much], so he would take the lead from whoever was supervising his work."
Is Obama A Lawyer | Obama's law days effective but brief - Los Angeles Times
Excuse me, he worked for this firm for four years and didn't progress beyond first or second year associate work?
He had ONE major case, how much help he had on that case is like everything else, unknown.
The primary beneficiary of obama's employment with this firm is Tony Rezko and we know what happened there. Which begs the question. How many criminals and terrorists as friends does Herman Cain have?
