Here Comes the Pain

I have a guess that mexico and canada will get hit hard and fast and cave first when they see the results, that is when trump sits down and they negotiate something that works more gentle

speak softly but carry a louisville slugger

Both countries are two of our most important trading partners. Canada has not done a damn thing to warrant this. The American people will the tariffs, NOT Canada and NOT Mexico.

maybe the books were looked into and they have been boning us now for ages and we did not know it?
tariffs are a bargaining tool, it's not concrete

good chance mexico and canada feel the heat, give in and accept a modest 8% tariff or so

I am sure it can be adjusted, we make way more in mexico than canada which is true, we don't send cheap textiles to canada which has a higher wage than us.
cars produced there mostly stay there, some end up here, a good chunk is oil and if they open the keystone I am sure trump will adjust

can't expect this to happen all in a day or a week or a month, it will take time to sort it all out to our benefit

Tariffs are more complicated than that I assure you. It will depend on to what degree and how quickly America can rebuild their manufacturing. If they do so, tney will have an advantage. I suspect that as in his first term, Trump will meet with CEOs of auto companies etc and have the TV cameras come in, give them some air time in exchange for a commitment to invest in US factories. Trump won more votes than last time and you can be certain that CEOs want to attract his voters and then some. Being pro-American is in fashion again and you wouldn't want your competitors at that table talking about their investment strategy in hiring American workers while you are on the outside looking in.
hedge funds bet billions on market crash.

That tells you what people with economic competency think about it.

If you dont.paydown your debt and get your.finances under control, your dollar is going to become.insolvent and replzced by the BRIC. It's a difficult position to be in, Biden didnt help Trump oit with record debt.

Trump’s admitting his tariffs are gonna cost you all money.

Can’t say you weren’t warned

How much are you willing to pay to own the libs?

You retards don't care
There's thread after thread of you morons praising Joe's economy and if people can't afford groceries that's too bad
At least we told people before the election...
There's probably going to be some pain
They're used to it thanks to Joe

Looking at Argentina
They experienced pain in the beginning
Suck it up fags
It's a long shot hail Mary to save murica

I'm holding out some hope that there is someone in the administration who has a solid handle on this.

Trump obviously doesn't, since all he knows is blind, simplistic, middle-school-bully aggression. Musk is an oligarch in it for himself. But if someone is actually steering this ship, it could work out.

It looks bleak right now. But there's just no way to know. Our former friends will have to do some folding. Fingers crossed.

Looks like the subhuman ape god stepped on his own dick again for the upteenth time. Mexico, Canada & China are going to retaliate.

You Trump worshippers will never learn.

Now cry cuz you can't blame "Joey".
And what is with the "no retaliation" clause that I keep hearing them mention in the news? Surely they're not referring to something that says that other countries cannot respond in kind aka "retaliate'? How simple minded is that and how would anyone enforce what another government does in response to having the U.S. take a swipe at them?

How many years of "pain" do working Americans have to endure. The rest of the working people in the world aren't being subjected to fiscal "pain" by our governments.

Republicans have been bringing the "pain" to working Americans since Reagan was in office. Remember when Reagan promised you all a raise when you got rid of the unions????? Instead, you got rid of the unions and haven't had a raise since.
Tell me specifically how you are feeling pain.
Also, if other countries are retaliating, applying tariffs as well then it would be causing their citizens pain.
That's the point. China, Canada, and Mexico, their citizens/economy will be feeling the pain and they will have to eventually start meeting President Trump's demands (no more trafficking children, no more trafficking drugs, no more trade deficits). Tariffs are a bargaining tool to get these countries to shape up and do the right things, and to start treating The United States more fairly.

Black Face is going to feel the pain of Trump easily owning him.

Let the businessman handle business
You're an economist go sit in your cubicle and play with yourself... The wipe it up with the Sunday times business section
If you're an economist how do you don't know how do you not know that Mexico and Canada depend on trade for about 70% of their GDP

Trump 1.0 had China on the ropes

By the way thank you for stealing the last election otherwise you would have never had this kind of trump in a million years
So thank you so much morons
