Here Comes the Pain

My contention would be:

Manufacturing is already at an all-time high. Would would be served?

Those are very limited sectors, we need broad based revitalization of manufacturing in all sectors. We can't keep relying on semiconductors that are required to keep our military equipment and autos running, to necessary chemicals to make the medications our people need to maintain their health. And to be clear, I'm referring to everything that is necessary to keep our modern society running, not the nice to haves that we could really do without.

“Republicans” WTF?
We just paid $5-$6 for fuel for 3.5 years, we paid for record inflation, we paid 7.75% for mortgage rates, we paid for 8-10 million more brown parasites, we paid hundreds of millions to secure Ukraines borders while we fucked ours up… Are you stupid or just lying?
Here is a tangible response to Trumps actions..

Tariffs announced today. DOW Jones is down 650 points at 10:30 pm

Money talks

Except that Trump is the world's worst negotiator. The last time Trump started a trade war YOU LOST. Your trade deficit WENT UP, not down.
.

Hush Natasha Fatale ... You Canadians wouldn't listen, and we're bringing a big stick to negotiations table ...
Every bit of the pun intended.

The President of the Northern Ontario Municiple Authority ... Wendy Landry of NOMA ...
Uh yeah, your softwood timber industry and markets are government subsidized and she's also the mayor of Shuniah ...
Indicated last Friday that if President Trump went through with the Tariffs ...
Your softwood timber markets would be "decimated".

Listen to your own folks and stop worrying about us ...
Because we're putting your markets in the 'hurt locker' ...

The trade deficit increased because America was kicking ass like it hadn’t in years, consumer confidence was off the charts and we were spending like we hadn’t in years.

Looks like the subhuman ape god stepped on his own dick again for the upteenth time. Mexico, Canada & China are going to retaliate.

Tariffs are more complicated than that I assure you. It will depend on to what degree and how quickly America can rebuild their manufacturing. If they do so, tney will have an advantage. I suspect that as in his first term, Trump will meet with CEOs of auto companies etc and have the TV cameras come in, give them some air time in exchange for a commitment to invest in US factories. Trump won more votes than last time and you can be certain that CEOs want to attract his voters and then some. Being pro-American is in fashion again and you wouldn't want your competitors at that table talking about their investment strategy in hiring American workers while you are on the outside looking in.
Liberals don't think in details, complexities, cause and effect or reason. They just

Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Japan…They’re all capable and ready to roll.
taiwan already has many FAB's producing chips and they are small
korea, the same, they don't put together junk trinkets
malaysia, far shipping, few educated in advanced electronics, etc
They already have an Intel FAB for a long time and a WD facility for HD's
japan, already maxed out, small island already making all the best cars
electronics, etc
these are not 3rd world countries though, think large population not educated who will work for almost nothing
to make cheap plastic garbage like party favors and halloween costumes ;)
