Zone1 Here Are 10 Bad Things That Have Happened, Proving God Doesn't Exist

What they can't get away from
"Soul" means "living being." In latin it is the same root for ANIMAL.
Animals and Man, though created for different purposes are basically the same.
Both were given a "Spirit" that impacts their life -- their existence. When that Spirit leaves the body, both anima and Man are "dead'

Yeah....humans are so arrogant. But I think for many people, maybe it's not even a conscious or intentional thing. It's just the conditioning we were all brought up with, that most people don't even think about.

Indeed.

It's why we have this persistent delusion that our special invisible sky daddy made this all for us, and we get to go live with him forever, when we die.

You seem to be obsessed with that topic. Maybe someone doth protest too much? :dunno: In any event, that's not what I was just talking about.

No I don't. Get your dimestone trolling out of here.

Hey, just saying that's how it seems, since you're always in the religion section, and you always feel the need to denigrate and mock theism. I wasn't trolling. But again, not interested in debating atheism vs theism with you. I had that debate probably 50,000 times, on another forum, in the past. I just don't have the desire to debate it these days, my focus is on other things.

Then you are irrational. First, that is not how the internet works. I am not "always here". And if I were, the only way you would know is if YOU were always here. So you insult yourself.

Second, this is precisely a place to discuss this. So i dicuss it in this place. That's not obsession.

Know what it seems like to me? It seems like you think telling me I am obsessed will somehow deter me from making the points that you are unwilling to meet or incapable of meeting head on.

I guess now we know what we think of each other. Satisfied?

His mocking others is a form of hatred and sadness which will never be converted into joy or happiness.

There's a difference between genuinely wanting to know the truth (no matter what it is) and 'discussing' something in a nasty, condescending way, being completely closed off to anything but one's pre-existing view. Anyone with the latter attitude is only shooting themselves in the foot, because that's not the way to find actual truth.

I am wide open to any evidence anyone wants to present.

You make an egregious but common error. You faithers are much more closed-minded than any evidence-based thinker like me.

I was going to give that a thumbs up, but....only God knows the future for sure, and many hard-core atheists have come to faith in God eventually, so... never say never. :dunno:

I wasn't commenting on his future. I was commenting on his present. So regardless of his fate his mocking others is a form of hatred and sadness and his mocking others will never bring him happiness, joy or peace. It will only fester inside him and harden his heart. Does that mean he can't change? No. It only means it will make it harder for him to change which is a consequence of a hardened heart.

Ah, well I definitely agree with that. That anger and nastiness is one of the reasons why I said that it seems to be an obsession.

Btw, you just reminded me of something. I think for many atheists, the barrier is not (contrary to what they always say) lack of evidence, or anything like that. For many it's a deep-rooted emotional thing. For example, something bad that happened to them in their childhood, that caused them to develop that hatred for even the idea of God. Another thing that is interesting (and I would like to verify this, but I'm pretty sure it's accurate) is that many famous atheists throughout history had a very bad (or no) relationship with their father. And often, there is a correlation between how one views their earthly father and how one thinks about God.

ETA: Here's an article I just found on that. It has a long list of well-known atheists and wow, it's very interesting to see that common denominator:

Faithers think insulting their sky daddy and magical fetish ideas is nastiness.

But they think saying millions of peole they know nothing about are experiencing lingering mental illness due to childhood trauma isn't. And that this explains why they don't believe in the sky daddy. Of course.

That's cultism for ya.

And you have probably convinced yourself that using phrases like sky daddy isn't mocking?
