She was brilliant. Helped the allies win World War Two and was a pioneer of Wifi and GPS. But she was never given credit until recently.

I became aware of her frequency-hopping idea several months ago. Before that I had no idea about her scientific contributions. None.
 
Here's another impressive woman (American) whom also helped win wars, but few have heard of her.

Over the course of her career, she worked for the United States Treasury, Coast Guard, Navy and Army, plus the International Monetary Fund.[3] She has been called "America's first female cryptanalyst"
